Dolores is an utterly charming and beautiful soul and I feel very lucky that I got to spend so much time in her company for this article – the first ever about her in the English language, I believe!
Day 11 #ArtAdventCalendar. I volunteer in a #museum and #culturalHeritage centre. Marvelling at historical pieces often turns into inspiration. Sometimes I experiment with #perlage. Most of the old techniques are now forgotten and have to be painstakingly reconstructed. Here I tested simple 😁 bead embroidery. I've found that it's not always easy to use generative artificial intelligence to create art in the form of animals or people. They often wind up with extra limbs or fingers, so I have to add in "negative prompts" to help reduce that problem. This wolf turned out very well, and I love the intricate detail of his eyes and his expressive face.
Victoria has been installed! She gave us a bit of a fight, but we prevailed. She's safe in her place, and I can breathe again. Unfortunately, they have not replaced the double sash window yet, so there's a horizontal shadow behind her, but she's still a looker.
One dream that came true this time at #Pilchuck for me was to have a fruit party! I just started eating fruit this month and it's a whole new world! I also love the idea of making craft appliances that can act as functional sculptures.
