Surprise! CrocoJam, an Itch.io Jam about making 3D Low Poly art (and games, if you're up for the challenge!) is back for this October!
Check out the jam below, and stay tuned for October 21st at 0:00 UTC-3 when we reveal the theme!
There's a small #jam called #pico1k going on right now, where you make #pico8 games in 1,024 (compressed) bytes or less.
I decided to do a #demake of sorts. I took the essential bits of my newest game, Apathello, and whittled them down into this #1k cartridge. I call it Kilothello.
Well the results for the #lispgamejam are out. This time I did 30th out of 48; or 37.5%. That's an improvement over last year's 25/30 (17%), but it's not as much as I'd hoped.
I achieved good looks (12/48) and decent entertainment (23/48), but our creativity was quite low (33/48). I originally wanted to add vehicle-mounted weapons and power-ups. But they were cut due to running out of time. Looking at other top ranking games, I think I was on the right track but probably needed to add some kind of twist on the driving game to achieve a higher ranking.
Maybe I should partner up with someone for the next Jam.
Was really bad rainy weather yesterday, so spent the day in the kitchen canning up some stuff.
Made an experimental small batch of ginger raspberry jam as ginger raspberry is my fave kombucha flavor to make. This batch set perfectly but I need to use WAY more ginger, couldn't taste the ginger at all. Still a tasty raspberry jam though!
I was a bit bored today and thought I'd record a few sequences while playing on my synths. Nothing special, just messing around. The bass comes from the Poly-D, arps from the M32, drums from the DFAM, and a Drone + Pianoteq from Bitwig. I havent saved it, just a throwaway jam.
U SHOULD JOIN MY QUEER TIME TRAVEL JAM! (yes even u)
> my entire brand is "trans people" and "time loops" so i decided to take one for the gays and make a queer time travel jam.
> bonus points for c/ptsd style time travelers. (shoutout to my bitches.)
> not just games, open to any medium
Look, the tight execution, sense of musical restraint and, of course, the lack of actual jamming means that "No Obsession" from @stereopolarity is NOT jam band music. That said, it features the same core fusion of jazz and funk, with just a touch of rock and some electronics, that powers nearly all jam bands -- and, to be completely honest, this tune would be fucking sick if it was jammed out to deep space and back.
Damson jam! I even managed to get most of it into the jars eventually! I feel like I’ve reached an adulting milestone (once I’d cleaned the kitchen floor, walls & counter).
It’s quite tart, but that’s how I like it…good job really!
