This got me all nostalgic: a review of the Hoi Amiga game in the August 1992 issue of The One magazine, UK. As a youngster I co-designed the game and created all graphics. 🥲
I started watching Mr. Bean. Haven't watched him since I was a kid.
I should be more like Mr. Bean. He doesn't give a shit.
Mr. Bean does what he feels and doesn't care.
He also drives like a maniac, and torments the person in a 3-wheeled car.
"Nearly everything we buy, use and own from the last couple of decades was built cheap and built to be disposed, so we could buy the next cheap thing to dispose so we can buy the next. Since 2004 I've probably been through 5-6 mice? At least three monitors. Four keyboards. And all were replaced not because I necessarily wanted to, but because they broke."
just published: 5000 word essay loosely inspired by #Halo 2.
this essay is actually about: #nostalgia, summer, and growing up; told through a deeply personal story from my childhood featuring #DiaperBonfires and #MagicDogs
this is the most 'complete' essay i've written, managed to include all the ideas i had envisioned during planning, and i am quite happy with it.
if you read it, please let me know what you think.
Britney Spears' debut album, "Baby One More Time," was released 25 years ago this month. Consequence's Paolo Ragusa remembers what Spears called "the moment in my life that I had the most passion for music."
🌴✋ Palm. Just like BlackBerry, once synonymous with the personal digital assistant. First acquired by U.S. Robotics, then by 3Com, and later by HP, which ultimately retired the brand name in 2011.
My current Linux screensaver should spark a few memories from those of you who were computing in the 90s. The classic "Flying Toasters." These days screensavers are widely discontinued, but I always enjoyed the personality they would lend to a computer.
