In the world of air conditioning, where the temperature of summer looks like that of winter in a heated home, it's easy to forget that summer is HOT. And that heat invites us to slow down, stop working all the time, and listen to the insects buzz.
The world of technocracy demands that we work all the time, for the greater good of, well, the technocrats. Because it certainly isn't for the greater good of humanity that we live a 24/7 existence of either working, looking at a screen, texting, streaming, or perusing the "news."
It's okay to walk away from the online, on-call world.
