Do you ever stumble upon an old Excel file that's locked with a password and you can't remember what it is? This can be incredibly frustrating, especially if the file contains valuable data! 😩

In my latest video, I show you a surprisingly easy way to remove worksheet protection from any Excel file, even if you don't have the password! This trick is perfect for those times when you're locked out of your own information.

The best part? You don't need any fancy software to do it! Just a little bit of text editing will do the trick. 😉

Any tips on how to connect a WordPress form to Google Sheets without a 3rd party premium service?

I have a form that is rarely used by people (usually older folks) who want marketing mailed to them instead of email. The best way to do this is to have a form where they input their mailing info and have it connect to a Google spreadsheet.

Unless there's a better solution?

I don't want to have another annual plugin subscription to do this.

Around the world we rely on to manage projects & assemble/analyse data... so the news that research suggests 90% of spreadsheets over 150 lines contain one major error.

Not only that, while easy to make, such errors are hard(er) to find.

As so often, what seems like a technical issue of little major consequence, as Simon Thorne (Cardiff MU) explores here actually they can be the root of all sorts of significant problems.

We need to be clearer about them!

Still needs a bit of more size!

Ps. Did you know you can do this with Excel or Google Sheets? I didn’t before!

Good morning fr . I think I may skip looking at the news this morning since I don’t expect much improvement compared to yesterday… Instead I’m going to focus on continuing planning and pricing a fence between our & my neighbor’s driveways.

Yesterday I spent 3 hours walking around Home Depot & Ganahl pricing supplies, mostly wood which are so expensive (probably as it should be mind you.) It was lunchtime but was surprised how empty both stores were.

Today we will have 🌤️ & 28°c (82°F) which is almost right on average for this day! 👍🏻 But it’s supposed to get a lot hotter for the rest of this week before it cools off again Sun or Mon.

Pix from my supplies pricing trip to , one of my fave store. Today will likely be mostly spreadsheet work. I love . I use

As you can see I use steel posts holders instead of sinking the posts in the concrete, in the ground. Steel clamps help prevent early posts failures from rot, beetles & termites that eat the posts if sunken in the ground even when in concrete. Plus it’s much easier with steel holders to replace a post if it does fail.

Galvanized steel 4 by 4 post holder. $37.29 ea or $416.99/dozen
Galvanized 4-inch carriage bolts $2.05/each or $77.87/50
Fast setting quickrete concrete bags $8.99/ea

Do you know ? Do you want Calc to be able to open very large superfast?

Check out my output of @libreoffice and see if you can help identify (or fix!) the problem(s) causing these spreadsheets to take 3 minutes to open instead of 10 seconds or less. You will probably make everything a bit faster for everybody on the https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154525#c8

Years ago, I started a 'bands I've seen live' list to try and remember shows I'd been to and what years they were. But it got lost. So I started a new one the other day on a spreadsheet and I named it the accurate title 'bands I've seen live (even the ones I hated)'. I'm not gonna share it here quite yet (has anyone else done one of these?) aaaand it's also not quite done. Memory's hazy! I'm up to 101 bands. Wild. Some of the bands I saw multiple times. Still need to work out some of the years/venues (to see how much remembering that sucks, and to see if I want to document all of that).

Anyway, it's been a fun and interesting project so far. Time is so strange. Sometimes things seem more or less recent than they actually were.

I’ve wanted to get into for many years, but every time I try I bounce off of the whole Morphic thing.

I really want to be able to develop my GUI project in a more “traditional” way like classic Smalltalk appears to have had and this just doesn’t seem like an improvement and not some thing I have any interest investing in.

tetrislife,

@collin similar intent here, but I felt it is not meant for developers but to let users be developers. environments might be more like than code.

You can't filter or sort by color. Add a column with data validated values and use conditional formatting for the visual.
