Did you know that the Romans' favourite went ?

Besides honey & grape juice, meals in were flavoured with imported dates from Judea ().

Date palm fronds were symbolic of - lawyers pinned them to their doors & generals wore special "toga palmata".

Judean dates were also shelf-stable & delicious.

Sadly, by the 19th c., they had vanished.

Except for a few 2000-year-old seeds.

They were successfully germinated in 2020.

If at first you don't succeed, don't sweat it, your parents are rich.

Wait. Your parents aren't rich?

Oh, man. This is embarrassing. Sorry, all of these success aphorisms are meant for people with privilege and resources.

You're on your own. Good luck.

The respect and admiration we have for our idols and industry greats comes from our sometimes oblivious realization that they put in the work to get there
…AND made it.

For now.

It’s all temporary.

Last night I was looking through the answers for the daily WordPress writing prompt which was the question:

When you think of the word "successful", who's the first person that comes to mind and why?

Several people answered that they thought of themselves and one person said they thought of Elon Musk.

After that I decided to stop looking through the answers because it was just...yeah. 🤦‍♀️

@3dprinting it held together! Tree support delaminated about 25% in, so I glued it back on and then later had to manually patch it with tissue and glue due to the deformities it incurred whilst it was not properly attached to the bed. I knew I had only a slim chance of pulling it off, but here we are! !

Progress is just a delta. It can be a positive or negative delta. Whether it’s good or bad progress is up to you to define. But progress without a goal is just motion.

About my previous post. I know that wealth isn't all cars and mansions. I know the emotional parts of it but I say, if you are able to create something that generates the kind of cash where you can buy some fun toys, do it! After all, you can't take your money with you when you die and you might as well have fun. That's what I'm gonna do when I make it. I want a nice Porsche or Lamborghini, whichever one has a higher-pitched engine. I also want a 15 room mansion with a nice garden and swimming pool and movie theater. If a man can dream, well, that makes life's problems worth it. Never forget to dream and when you become successful, share with the people you love. , , , .

🤷🏻‍♂️ Who here thinks consistency is overrated? And what skill to be successful is underrated? 🙋🏻‍‍♂️

Because there are LOTS of successful people who are neuroatypical. As a neuroatypical I can tell you consistency is not a skill I possess.

What trait or skill can someone neuroatypical or neuronormal possess that leads to success each and every time?
