My cooking today is more like preparing a snack. Fast, easy, but nevertheless delicious.
I just marinated some chicken filet (the smaller, inner ones) asian style with some chili and garlic and ginger. They'll be fried in a pan in a few hours. And I cooked a sweet-sharp dip with even more garlic.
I love garlic, you probably noticed that. 🧄 😄
That'll make for a nice meal without much ado.

In short they're #PotatoChips. Canadians would be reminded of #OldDutch#barbecue chips, only with a bit more pepper and a smattering of other spices that would seem a bit exotic. This is because the actual flavour is 糊辣 (húlà) which is a #Yunnan style of spicing as opposed to the more famous (infamous?) #Sichuan 麻辣 (málà) "hot and tingling" style with Sichuan peppercorns.
These are very high quality potato chips, better than any of the big brands like Lays or Oishi or the like which are commonly found here. I'm definitely getting more when these five bags are finished.
And I'll be trying their mala flavour as well side by side.

Needed a fast snack before making dinner. Super ravenous as fasted until evening, after 60 minutes back day weights plus about 70minutes bike cardio.

Some pumpkin seeds from last weekend's pumpkin-pie making. K dried them out and we collaborated on soya sauce, spices and herbs marinade, then into the oven to dry out for a few hours. A great autumn #snack food!
Inspired by @LifeTimeCooking we decided to try to make farinita. We'd planned on doing it last weekend but realized we had no gram flour. We soaked the mixture overnight, and then we added carnalized onions, cherry tomatoes, and some cumin powder, chili flakes, and oregano.
