I took this picture of a squirrel in the Boston Common sneaking up to get a drink from this man's cup. He gave me permission to post the pic.

I'm a former teacher and nonviolence facilitator. I blog prolifically and create lotsa videos. I self-publish, and am trying to get a literary agent interested in my new novel... I like word play, so feel free to scroll past my silly puns.

What else? I'm an old punk rocker, a social justice activist and I eat vast quantities of . Also, I write a lot about

The end.

What we have here is a picture of Penelope licking the shower door while Joey rolls his eyes. Classic weirdo cat life.

The person installing my solar panels took this picture of my cat secretly watching him work on the electric panel.

Joey, pictured here, invented a ritual for when I Ieave the house. There used to be a lot of stress and he would try to get out the door with me. Now, we have a routine, and he invented it: Whenever he sees I'm about to leave (I put my laptop in my backpack, put on a coat or just say goodbye), he goes to the front door and lies on the mat. I then drag it to the middle of the room, a ride he enjoys, and he stays there looking at me like this while I leave.

You always thought that keeping all body parts under the covers was the only way to keep you safe at night. It's only when you bring a furry little monster into your house that you realize that you were right all along.

Do you have a 10 - 15 year old in your family who would want to try out my new, unpublished young adult sci-fi novel? I'm trying to see if the intended audience likes it or if I need to do major re-work. It's a complex, nonviolent story involving time travel, different dimensions, unicorns, fairies ... and snails who can type. It's filled with word-play, has a gender non-conforming main character, as well as a character with a lot of OCD.
I can send you a printed author's proof of the book.

“Don’t worry, they always get out of the way.” 60 to 200 million birds are killed by cars in the US alone every year. And while cats kill far more, animal rescue organizations report that car strikes are the number one source of bird injury. Please slow down.
