Please help me find a new instance. I'm super sad about @Gargron 's gullibility and poor ethical choices about meta and need some suggestions. I'd like a decent charachter limit i.e. min 1500. And I really want to be able to know exactly who is running it and exactly what the moderation policy is.

So far my biggest concern with the is the lack of transparency about instance admins. Very few instances say anything at all about who runs them, where the instance is hosted, what kind of succession plan they have, exactly what kind of and how much moderation they do, info about who decides on defederation policies or user bans, or which nation state laws they are subject to. This is all basic stuff that each instance should provide to it's members.

Hey academic people. I am looking for collaborators for a project about governance on Wikipedia. Basically the project will involve examining the talk pages, administrator actions, arbitration committee decisions, and Wikipedia policies to see how well the policies are adhered to and how this is affecting editor retention and article accuracy on Wikipedia. If you think this sounds like fun please respond. Any resulting publications will be Open Access. Boosts appreciated.

Her work was an important influence on many Neo Pagans, most notably Gerald Gardener, but also on others later such as Druids Isaac Bonewits and John Michael Greer. She was an interesting mix of clairvoyant medium and university trained psychologist and, I argue, much of her work was remarkably shamanistic in character.

In chapter one of my new blog, featuring my PhD thesis work, I recount my experiences with ritual in cyberspace, describing sacred virtual space, and its relationship to sacred meatspace from a Pagan perspective. I compare two initiation rituals, and describe how one produced the perception of sacred space, in both meatspace and the virtual world, while the other remained only a role play.

A lot of stuff I am reading now about the fedipact is using the argument that if we defederate FB we won't be able to help all the poor people using FB to join the fediverse. This is basically a messiah complex. And let me tell you that being a messiah always has a really bad retirement plan...
