Feral outlaw and natural anarchist not often inclined to do as I'm told. I am a student of anarchists, free spirits and self-organisers throughout culture and history.

This account is supportive of gender diversity and for freedom of consenting sexualities. I am pro slut and a promoter of cooperative promiscuity. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ 💛🤍💜🖤

How is thinking the world would go much better if everyone were motivated by personal greed working out?

black_flag, to trans

Fleeing is an entirely reasonable and natural response to being targeted and put in danger (either by war or political violence against you as with some trans people in the USA).

What we need is to help people do it more and organise ways people can move safely and with support. This probably means all of us stepping up as and when we can.

We either help each other or we leave each other without help. There's no in-between.

You might find it amazing that a supposed medical report into the treatment of trans people didn't interact with ACTUAL TRANS PEOPLE. (It did interact with plenty of antis and treated them as neutral and reasonable.) But so much did NHS England's Cass Report not interact with actual, real trans people that it resorted to generating AI pics of them.

These bigots are literally making up people to get mad at.

Gender critical tactic: when the scientific community in general, not least the experts in the fields of pediatrics and gender services, don't validate your bigotry or that of your financial and political backers, simply use politics to generate fake science which comes to your pre-determined conclusion.

This is a tactic used by eugencists for at least 125 years.

Its latest face is Hilary Cass’s report on gender identity services in England. Its politicised trash.

All it would take for AI to completely collapse is a ruling in the US saying these companies have to licence the content they used to train these tools.

They simply would never reach a sustainable business model if they had to fairly compensate all the people who wrote, drew, edited, sang or just created the content they use.

Simply being forced to respect attribution and licenses would kill them. Will that ruling ever happen? Maybe not. Should it? I think so.

black_flag,

@thelinuxEXP Nick, you're talking about as a system not just the AI bit of it lately come to fruition.

If CAPITALISM had to "fairly compensate" everyone who makes it work it would fall apart.

"We will brick your device if you do not agree to terms of service" is not 🤬 consent.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: if you're not creating something then you're not living. You're just existing.

And that could be anything. It could be a garden, a book, a picture. It could be a friendship, a building or a boat. It could be some music, a party or a revolution.

Create something. Its good for you.

Everyone says they hate people trafficking until the person trafficked is Shamima Begum.

Begum was a British 15 year old girl groomed by a Canadian govt spy into joining ISIS. The UK, who covered that bit up, now want to permanently block her from returning home.

She is a victim of govt malfeasance and yet another human pawn in bullshit political games.

According to the new UK government definition of extremism you are extremist if you engage in:

"the promotion or advancement of an ideology based on...hatred or intolerance, that aims to:

negate or destroy the fundamental rights and freedoms of others".

This is the gender critical and sex realist movement in a nutshell.

I look forward to them getting dragged.

The UK govt, currently trying to whip up a culture war against imagined "extremism", is trying to formulate a definition of what it thinks extremism actually is.

The problem is its having trouble doing so without including Christian nutters who hate gays or random dipshits who are anti-trans.

Its all so hard when you're the extremist but by "extremist" you don't mean people like you!

“Rep Andy Kim, Dem running for in against the state’s first lady, filed fed lawsuit that seeks to redesign the ballot before June’s contentious primary election, arguing the current layout unfairly benefits candidates supported by party leaders.

The complaint aims to topple NJ’s longstanding ballot-design process, which is unique to the state, by asserting it violates the constitution and permits voters to be “cynically manipulated.”

Why do conservatives, the whole right wing and anti-trans people hate "self-id"?

Because, whilst pretending to be all about freedom, it reveals them as the exact opposite. They don't want personal freedom (which "self-id" is in its ultimate form); they want freedom as they define and control it.

Or, in other words, they want the absence of real freedom.

I’ve been re-reading all my history books about the Nazis. One thing that strikes me is how hard it was to fight back against Nazism from inside. The normative culture is so strong and everybody is just going along. Ordinary folks, with denouncing their neighbours to the Gestapo. The Gestapo was tiny only 32k. It was the ordinary people that were informing on their neighbours. Ordinary people enabled Nazism.

black_flag,
@black_flag@mastodon.social avatar

@aral @RustyBertrand @kcarruthers Paragraph 175 wasn't a "Nazi law". It had been German law for many decades prior to the Nazis even existing. Germany was very much a country where homosexuality was illegal and civil activists like the sexologist Magnus Hirschfeld had fought for repeal of Paragraph 175 for decades. That said, Hirschfeld's own sexological institute was one of the first buildings trashed, its library burnt, by the Nazis in 1933.
