ich merke immer wieder dass mein #Mastodon Account auf #sueden.social mehr Beiträge anhand von #Hashtags findet, als mein #Friendica Account auf #anonsys.net.
Wenn ich auf Friendica den Beitrag von Mastodon dann manuell über die Suche aufrufe, dann wird er als Empfangen angezeigt.
Gibts hier irgendwelche Tricks? Wird wohl auch an der Größe der Instanz liegen.
Ich hatte mal testweise Mastodon Instanzen per RSS abonniert. Genauer Hashtags als #RSS. Das hat dann mehr Beiträge nach Friendica gespült. Irgendwann waren diese aber dann doppelt und dreifach, weshalb ich das Experiment wieder aufgegeben habe.
My biggest #gripe with #Mastodon is reach and the ability to discover stuff outside of chronological scrolling. Lists in #BlueSky make that better. Imho the algorithms in #Threads are too intrusive.
If there were simpler ways to connect with different topics on here it would make it excellent, to me at least. I guess it might come down to why you use different social media.
@Openhuman Diskussionsforen gibt es auch schon so lange wie es das Internet gibt. Ein #Mastodon-Server ist in dieser Hinsicht nichts Besonderes. Privatpersonen, Vereine oder andere Gruppen sowie Unternehmen tragen die Kosten. Ich denke, es ist eher eine neue Entwicklung der letzten 20 Jahre, dass sich viele Leute ein Internet ohne Kommerzialisierung der Inhalte nicht mehr vorstellen können.

The nice thing about Pixelfed/Mastodon is that I often open it to post something, yet end up spending an hour or more looking at the amazing, invariably uplifting, informative, positive and uniquely human content that's being shared, before remembering, 'right, I wanted to post this one photo'. That never happen{s|ed} on other social media. #pixelfed#Mastodon
