HELP: looking for sources on fascist aesthetics. Why fascists (Nazi Germany, other fascist countries, and current fascist movements) like minimalism, Ancient Greek and Roman sculpture and architecture, and “elegant” beauty.
Serious question: what is the vegan/plant-based solution for folks like me who want to eat more veg but can’t always tolerate them well due to IBD/etc? As much as I love beans/hummus/shrooms/tofu, I haven’t found anything quite so nutrient-dense and digestible as animal protein. Even shakes and supplements don’t really satiate my hunger.
Again, this is a serious question. How does it happen when someone has an Mastodon account with no posts yet the total post count says otherwise? I've tried going directly to the account instance and same results. For that matter even following and followers show up empty. Scam/spam account?

Problem is: it takes forever, but the main issue is that my laptop goes to 100% processor use and the cooler fans go nuts, looks like it will take off or set my house on fire.
Is there any app that is more efficient for this? I can't use a cloud service, I have lots of videos to convert, it's not practical

I really need to find a new #SMS app for #Android. I used to use #Signal, and sure, it didn't mean any better security or #privacy for the normal messages, but at least everything was together, and the layout was quite nice.
I've just been using the built-in Messages app for a while now, and it sucks. I don't like the layout at all, or the constant pop-ups asking me if I want to sign away my privacy to enable some sort of live chat feature (I already said no, damn it!).

I do not want to hide boosts from people I follow in general (because I only follow awesome people), but sometimes I see toots 5 times, which is a bit much.
