I've bloody well done it again! YUS! One year, every evening at 4pm (winter) 5pm (summer). A 20 second exposure through a pinhole camera, on a glass plate. I've captured the Analemma again! #analemma#astronomy#beauty
Just because I have nearly 4000 images taken during Friday night's auroral display, I keep going back to look at them. Here's a 6 second exposure taken at 23:09 local time here in New Zealand. The sky was ablaze! #aurora#beauty#newzealand
So many images from last night. I actually had 4 cameras running during the #auroraaustralis display. Finally downloaded the data from my Canon EOS Ra which is red sensitive. Here's a 6 second exposure taken at 23:09 local time. What a night! #beauty#astronomy#NewZealand
Een vlijtig zingende blauwborst op een duindoorntak, sindskort weer uit de overwinteringsgebieden teruggekeerd om te broeden op het eiland. Om blij van te worden als je er eentje hoort of ziet.
Some moonsets are bloody magnificent. Like last night's for example. I was atop Mount John near lake Tekapo and the sky went bonkers! Crepuscular Rays! The moon! The colour! #beauty
i absolutely love where I live. 5 minutes drive from my house is a brilliant inlet that has hills to shield me from the southerly wind while the aurora does it's thing in the south. Here's a picture from tonight's display. Dunedin is, by far, the best city in the world. #aurora#beauty#astronomy
Spring has begun and magnolias have bloomed beautifully. I just mounted an old $20 Soviet lens to my Sony camera and took some photos. Check out the spring dreamy look! 🌸 Thank you for being there!

So my second analemma picture in two days. An entire year shooting the sun out of my office window at midday or 1pm and I MISSED THE BLOODY TOP OF THE ANALEMMA. Annoying. So. We start again tomorrow. #ANALEMMA#resilience#beauty#astronomy
i just realised I took 15,000 images during last night's auroral display. Here's another one, this taken at 00:27 with an exposure of 2.5 seconds. #Beauty#aurora#astronomy#newzealand
