56% of the schools said they gave students more than 20 minutes of recess.
TFW the DOMS is worse two days after a hard workout than it was one day after. Yesterday's very easy run went well I thought it wouldn't be bad. Nope. Studies have shown that, when looking at photos of two types of fitness "instructors," most people consider the barely-clothed, ripped person to be more knowledgeable than the one in workout clothes sharing practical ways to gain fitness. That perception of the instructor's skill is often wrong.
I'm naturally slow but what I'm not good at is running really slow. I'm like a buzzy horse when I run, grabbing onto the bit, always trying to go one stride quicker than I ought to.
As #runner friends on here will know, I do not run for any purpose other than enjoyment. I have no need for success, improvement or achievement. These mean nothing to me. Today’s weigh in on my #weightlossjourney, I’m now touching 6 inches (15.24 cm) lost and almost 20 lbs (9.07kg) lost. I seem to be doing a “yo-yo” on the weight which means my goals of body recomposition are working as it’s definitely muscle building and muscle is denser than fat and I’m still losing my waist. #weightloss#exercise#fitness#health
Today’s weigh in, I barely worked out yesterday but still losing weight. I’ve also started tracking my peak flow for my breathing as I’m asthmatic. I’ve noticed my breathing has been improving and now I can empirically say that’s true. #fitness#exercise#weightloss
First measurements since I am back from my business trip in Vegas. I’m officially under 195 lbs (88.5kg). In the first 30 days of my #weightlossjourney I’ve lost almost 20 lbs (9 kg) and 5.6 inches (14.22cm) on my waist.
So I am definitely on track to be in shape for #DEFCON and I even took my time at Mandalay Bay to walk a few miles on the casino to simulate my walking around for hours. This was the first time since COVID I walked miles with no loss of breath or pains. #fitness#exercise
