la mer échevelée

de soleil

court, errante
furieuse

elle frappe ses jupes
—parfois vermeil

à grandes volées
haletantes

sur la ville mangeuse
de corps perdus.
la mer obscure

et folle
éparpille

dans le sable

ses ailes
aux battements

papillons
et efface le long

des passages
le temps des traces.

Yes, my book is set in an alt-history, fantasy version of France. Yes it contains some French. Yes, you will have to work it out from context if you don't speak French.

Whatever the attitude towards 's and 's plans for the of civil in ,the that the continues to maintain with ,notably via ,should be stopped immediately. Otherwise, France's official stance towards the and its of is becoming increasingly and even .France could easily buy a bit more to compensate.

Just watched a local #highschool production of a play (in French) titled "J'ai pêté du théâtre."

GPT when pronounced in #French sounds like "J'ai pêté" which means "I farted".

So the the title of their play is "I farted theatre". (Or "GPT Theatre".)

About a writer who uses #ChatGPT to write scenes for their play & the hilarious nonsense it creates.

The teens have already nailed down the meta joke about this whole #AI situation & it slapped. 🤣

A dad joke I could make only because my kids speak French and English: “I don’t understand why French people say ‘garlic’ when they hurt themselves.” Kid 1: “That joke is so bad it’s good.” Kid 2 whacks me repeatedly, and I say: “Garlic. Garlic.”

On Sunday, March 24, Detroiters banished the Nain Rouge from the city for another year at the annual Marche du Nain Rouge. Legendary among the early settlers of Detroit, the Nain Rouge (French for "red dwarf") was purported to appear at various times throughout the city's history just prior to a catastrophic event, such as the great fire of 1805, the surrender of to the British during the War of 1812.
