Using products like ‘dabs’, powders or vaping cannabis concentrates can be even more dangerous than smoking weed for young people and their developing brains.

It’s like what they say about alcohol:
Most people know that a 12-ounce beer is much less potent than 12 ounces of vodka. Cannabis in smoked form is closer to beer, while a cannabis concentrate is more like vodka. Neither is safe for an adolescent, but one is even more dangerous.

Making good decisions takes a bit of work and thinking.
Many people don’t do that.
AI is often trained on the results of those hasty decisions.
So relying on AI is going to result in even worse decisions – and also take away a uniquely human ability.

Almost 40% of vehicles on the road in the early 1900s were electric.

So while EV sales have been soaring recently, it’s not because the idea is new. It’s because of a confluence of improved infrastructure, improved technology, and the right mix of government incentives and regulations.

An expert on entrepreneurship looks at the factors:

Many media outlets are paying a lot more attention to arrests than to the actual demands of protesters.

US media largely ignored campus protests until encampments (and police clearing of encampments) got going, fitting in with a general pattern, according to a researcher who studies how journalists cover protest movements:

There’s an important gap between “hope” and “optimism.”

Hope is not just about looking on the bright side. It plays the long game: enduring suffering with integrity.

It’s something Martin Luther King understood when he said “I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight that we, as a people, will get to the Promised Land.” But hope makes us act, anyway.
