What I find most amazing about the Trump trial is how many people seemed surprised when crooked, scummy, racist, misogynist Trump did something crooked, scummy, racist, and/or misogynistic.

He was a scumbag long before he was elected. He made little effort to hide the fact. Who could possibly be surprised?

There was no drone delivery future. There was never going to be a drone delivery future.

Just like there was never going to be self-driving Uber taxis. Or Amazon Go supermarkets on every corner. Or hyperloops. Or earth-to-earth space travel on SpaceX rockets. Or level-five full self driving Teslas.

Just like there will not be a general artificial intelligence ChatGPT in the next couple of years.

They were all scams designed to lure dollars from investors and generate good PR.

It was all bullshit. It was always bullshit.

Someone (follower) just DMd me accusing me of being a 'drag on support' of Dems.

Why? He said "we're all supporting the democracy coalition", & I explained that many in my replies are angry, not supportive. He accused me of something something Hillary's emails re Biden... not sure what that meant, but it was offensive.

If anyone ever accuses me of not supporting Biden in this election, they haven't read my TL or listened to me on air.

I don't see how any right thinking person can do anything but support Biden.

It's fair to support other primary candidates.

It's fair to criticize his stances.

Heck, I'm concerned about his age.

But there are two candidates:

Joe Biden, a highly effective POTUS who clearly works in support of all Americans.

Donald Trump, a corrupt, traitorous, unstable rapist who tried to overthrow American democracy.

As far as I'm concerned, the only choice is Joe Biden, 100%

Not only will this funding from the Biden administration provide jobs for underserved and Tribal communities, it will also be used to fight the negative impacts climate change by investing in reestablishing the native seed supply chain, and save water by switching to low-water crops.

This is progressive action. Joe Biden does a good deal for jobs and the climate and doesn’t get enough credit.

I’ve been re-reading all my history books about the Nazis. One thing that strikes me is how hard it was to fight back against Nazism from inside. The normative culture is so strong and everybody is just going along. Ordinary folks, with denouncing their neighbours to the Gestapo. The Gestapo was tiny only 32k. It was the ordinary people that were informing on their neighbours. Ordinary people enabled Nazism.

It’s horrifying how the US has embraced the Nazi culture. I suppose it’s partly due to the racist history and underpinnings of the country that were never removed after the civil war and WWII.

Reading “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” is depressing as I watch the US follow the same path now.
