Thousands of defenseless horseshoe crabs are being brutally drained of their blood in record numbers for the biomedical industry — with news detailing numerous violations of harvesting permits and minimal welfare practices.

Five bleeding companies drained a record-breaking 700,000 crabs of their blood in 2021 — with workers stabbing the animals in the heart and then bleeding out up to half of their blood to manufacture LAL,

No defenseless animal deserves to be drained of their blood while fully conscious and then be tossed aside, weakened and half alive. The cruelty must stop now.

Due to the decimation of the horseshoe crabs, conservationists in Delaware have pitched a proposal for strengthened protections for horseshoe crabs. The five states harboring the bleeding companies would do well to take note and follow suit.

So go find an artist you like, a smaller one, on Bandcamp and drop the same $15 you send to Spotify every month in their pocket. For truly small artists, a single sale can literally make their day!

NO ONE is going to notice or care that you spent $15 on Spotify, but the same $$$ spent say BC can be life changing to a struggling artist.

    I can only grow so many plants in my garden, and you can only do what you can do to mitigate all the carbon going into the air.
    At least we can also let the UK govt hear that we do not agree with the new licences for oil and gas drilling.
    A wee letter or email to your elected representative wouldn’t go amiss either.
    (As of writing) This petition is close to 10,000 the point when the govt is obliged to respond.
