Ascension healthcare takes systems offline after cyberattack
Ascension, one of the largest private healthcare systems in the United States, has taken some of its systems offline to investigate what it describes as a "cyber security event."
#Ukraine has paused thousands of criminal cases for people who volunteer to join the military.
11,000 accused have had cases paused thanks to a special legal amendment from 2014. The most common crimes related to theft, drug trafficking and car accidents.
This follows other Ukrainian cyberattacks, including one on Russia’s leading party #unitedrussia which supports Putin. Russian-led groups have repeatedly targeted #Ukraine throughout the war.
The deputy head of #Ukraines military intelligence told the #Economist that the order has gone out for #Russia to “take something” before #VictoryDay on May 9th, or a week later.
An offensive is expected in the #Kharkiv and #Sumy regions.
The German Foreign Minister said that #apt28 a hacking group led by #Russianmilitary intelligence, was behind the attack and that it "will have consequences," the Kyiv Independent reports.
