Yeah, there's not much we can do about the people for which verifiable evidence is meaningless as long as everything can be blamed on a conspiracy of thousands and thousands of people of otherwise incompetent people that make up a #DeepState

Deep state conspiracies are everywhere, but research demonstrates US federal workers are effective and committed - NOT subversive. IMO that goes for state and municipal workers as well. I know my eldest daughter if very proud to work for the govt. #DeepState

For over 40 years, I've noted how I DEPLORE #CONSPIRACY THEORIES. It's insane nut-baggery where zealots see "puppeteers" behind everything from "Fluoridation" to Moon Landing.
They are impervious to Facts and no amount of proof can change their minds.
And then this country elects a #ConspiracyNut who spends night dreaming up wild "#DeepState" rationalizations to explain away his failures & prosecution for crimes he has CONFESSED TO ("Those #ClassifiedDocs were MINE!")

The #Establishment is the real UK #DeepState. Its basically white public school boys who got their roles through contacts forged at Oxbridge. In the past 25 yrs their power has dimmed slightly due to diversity initiatives, but not much.
Truss’s downfall was nothing to do with them, her own party dethroned her due to incompetence.
Ron Filipowski analyzes what Trump's outreach to white evangelicals has become in 2024, as compared to 2016. Back then, it was, "I'm not perfect, but I'm on your side and I'll deliver what you want."
Now, it's "I'm the Messiah anointed by God to take down the diabolical deep state."
And as Filipowski notes, white evangelicals are eating this up.
People, please. We should remember that the GOP is a legitimate political party, and instead of condemning them, we should have Polite and Civil Debates™ over legitimate issues, like: "is the globalist Deep State conspiring with Taylor Swift to rig the Super Bowl for Joe Biden?"
Sure, sometimes it makes sense to do your own research. There's times when you really do need to take personal responsibility for the way things are going. But there's limits. We live in a highly technical world, in which hundreds of esoteric, potentially lethal factors impinge on your life every day.

Not without reason, mind you. The fact that the government can make good rules doesn't mean it will. When we redid our kitchen this year, the city inspector added a bunch of arbitrary electrical outlets to the contractor's plans in places where neither we, nor any future owner, will every need them.
