#Mastodon doesn't directly support quoting toot like the bird app. Support (Literally) Quoting Public Toots https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/22793 is still open. I hope they release support for this. This is killer feature.
The nice thing about Pixelfed/Mastodon is that I often open it to post something, yet end up spending an hour or more looking at the amazing, invariably uplifting, informative, positive and uniquely human content that's being shared, before remembering, 'right, I wanted to post this one photo'. there really aren't that many good looking #mastodon desktop clients sadly (outside of #macos but then they all look more or less the same because of #swiftui, not to say they don't look great)

My old instance/server is shutting down and when I requested my Archieve I see that it does not include my past posts and they didn't migrate over to my new home.

Please add alt-text to your photos/pictures it only takes a minute and does not have to be fancy. My policy is not to boost images without alt-text and I am not the only one.
This is one of the cultural things I like about Mastodon, the inclusiveness. Please don't ruin it.
