"Just as ChatGPT can make up facts, it’s apparently willing to lie about ensuring that the code it writes passes the tests you give it. It can also behave like a recalcitrant child who knows, but must constantly be reminded, to follow the rules. But if you hold its feet to the fire, tests can be a great way to focus its attention on the code you’re asking it to write."
This #multithreading bug had secretly been causing unpredictable Calendar crashes for years! It is now fixed—another thorn in our feet removed ☺️ #OpenSource#Linux#testing

🧍 Join TPGi's @siblingpastry on September 6 at 12 PM ET for a webinar that dives into WCAG 2.2 and the range of new requirements for web accessibility testing.
"Web developers, designers and content authors may produce web content that inadvertently causes multiple failures of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
When this content is tested against WCAG Success Criteria (SC), auditors may wonder whether there is a benefit in reporting the multiple nature of these failures, and whether their multiple nature might change remediation advice."

I have only recently learned of the "before" attribute in @phpunit. It seems appealing. What I don't get is... why would I ever use setUp() when I can instead use a before method? It seems like the easier, more portable solution in ever case except when I actively want to bypass a parent class's setUp().
Using the Drush Behat Params library, you can quickly and easily configure Behat for Drupal testing. This library provides a drush command wrapper for 'bin/behat' with BEHAT_PARAMS already set, eliminating the need to specify the URL, path to code, and drush alias each time you run Behat.
I finally got round to updating my minimal parameterised test case crate to syn 2.0 earlier. If you're after something that is tiny, non-magic and easy to work with then take a look at the examples in the README and see what you think!
I use it for all my personal projects and we make extensive use of it at my work for managing our tests and quickly adding coverage for new corner cases as we find them 👍
once again contemplating if I want to add codecov tokens to all my currently breaking repos, or just rip out codecov
what do the cool kids do these days?
I know about Hynek's --fail-under=XX% post, but the thing I really care about day-to-day is the "lines covered/not covered in this diff or PR". #codecov#python#testing
Sigh. Apple really doesn’t test on physical devices, do they? This is what the new .inspector in SwiftUI does when your app is not in full screen mode. Same on iPad Mini on full-screen. Mac looks good.
Are Kratom Lab Reports reliable ! (old.reddit.com)
This has been bugging me for a long time. Every time if I am lucky enough to see a lab result from a reputed trusted vendor I am astonished...
