To empower creators everywhere, Splice needs a deep understanding their needs and how we can best serve them. Data is key to ensuring we have the best sounds available in our catalog and are building tools that amplify people's creativity. We're hiring a Data Engineer to help us build pipelines and tools for our data warehouse that power the next generation of music creation experiences. Join us!
At Splice we believe that creators deserve the best tools. Included in the definition of best is SECURE. If you believe that people's data should be protected and their privacy assured, join us! We are looking for a Security Engineer to help us build robust and secure experiences that help empower creators everywhere.
A service is only as good as the infrastructure it's built upon. When that infrastructure needs to constantly evolve to serve customer needs, the challenge is even greater. Luckily, the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at Splice does a great job at this and they are looking for someone that loves automation and building self-service tools to join their ranks. Are you that person? If so, come join our team!

Engineer diving into the tech world with #Linux, #PHP, #Java, #C/#C++, and a knack for turning complex problems into simple solutions. Crafted server tools, anti-fraud tech, and #VoIP solutions for global Fortune 500s & startups. Speaker of #Spanish, proficient with #Xen, #LDAP, and #LAMP Stack. Seeking a consulting/full-time role to bring my coding skills to new heights. Let's make tech that matters.
I'm looking for a contract frontend dev to help reduce our backlog of small & medium UI issues and maintenance tasks at @redqueen.
We're a tiny team, so the context switching for this sort of bread and butter work is brutal on the two folks who are responsible for designing and building out more substantial architectural stuff & infrastructure. I think that having someone else on hand to help pick up that slack could be really useful for us.
The core skills we're looking for are HTML, CSS, and Django. Our application is focused on server-side rendering; we are not building an single-page app. We're looking for someone who's solid on the basics: semantic web, and accessibility.
In a perfect world this person would have the ability to learn Rust (or maybe already knows some). Our HTML rendering is not in Rust, but it will probably move there within the next year. We will be using more JavaScript (written as TypeScript) over time, but this is not a skill we need right now, so that's a nice bonus (or learning opportunity) too.
Right now, we're a small five-person team, most of whom work Pacific hours. But we're optimistic that this sort of work is pretty self-contained, and should be possible asynchronously, so we're open to any time zone. Unfortunately, we are only able to contract with people authorized to work in the US, though you can be located anywhere.
Ok, I am officially starting my job search for gigs in copywriting, content strategy, community management, maybe even something along those lines that intersects with ethical AI.
Freelance or part/full time remote. I have nearly 20 years of experience, mainly working with tech, developers in the Apple community, and a variety of CMSes.
"The U.S. Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for 40 newly-created Climate Change Fellowship positions.
The positions will be filled with the intention of assisting the record number applications from farmers, ranchers and rural small businesses seeking funding for clean energy projects under the Rural Energy for America Program.
According to the job posting on usajobs.gov, the anticipated salary for the positions will range from $57,118 to $89,835. The new positions are being funded by the Inflation Reduction Act."
Not sure how I feel about this... but it popped up in my climate change RSS feed and there might be someone here who could do some good with this position? Yale is looking for a Data Scientist, focused on machine learning, "to lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning models and operations as part of an academic organization devoted to supporting academics and practitioners in climate change research and communication."
Any administrative assistants out there looking for steady work? It's not top dollar (45k - 49k) but the bennies are good. Location is Delaware County in New York, or somewhere adjacent. They have a decent WFH policy but the job itself is highly localized. DM me for deets if interested. Be my coworker! #FediHiring#GetFediHired#FediJobs#JobsOfMastodon#jobs#JobOpportunity#AdministrativeAssistant
I’ve given it thought, and it’s time to start looking elsewhere. So, if anyone hiring has a remote position for a teacher with a mixture of skills: teaching/training, technical writing, proj. mgmt, system administration, executive asst experience, and consulting, please feel free to DM me. #jobsearch#jobhunting#fedihire#fedihiring
Feelers out again because it might be getting toward time to #GetFediHired. I'm interested in a remote US (🚫mandatory hybrid or in-office🚫), IC position in systems integration, solutions engineering (post-sales), or similar technical consulting/PS type roles. Open to more.
I have 10+ years of experience as a web dev (full stack, primarily JS, PHP, MariaDB + Postgres + MSSQL; written + owned + extensively consumed REST APIs; written custom apps and deep WordPress), sysadmin (cloud, Linux, Windows, VoIP, security and network design), IT consultant and all-around technical problem solver. Systems integration is effectively what I've done for my entire career. I have a wide breadth of touch in platforms and products, but can quickly zero in and make myself an SME on a specific set.
The customers I've served are largely SMB, but do include enterprise (esp. higher ed) and gov.
