New year and back to work. I know it's minor, but this morning I am thankful that I got up to go to the gym. My wife and I have gotten pretty consistent at about 5 days a week going. This morning, though, I felt pretty tired and unmotivated.
But, we went anyway.
It's minor, but trying to be thankful for the smaller things too.
Went to the #gym for the last workout of my 2023. Next week, it'll be packed with resolutions idiots, and I'll be cranky until the phone-addled casuals decide that regular workouts are too hard to keep in their schedules.
I can't imagine how annoying it is for people that are actually serious about their gym time. They're probably not at the Walmart of gyms (Planet Fitness), though.
Yesterday the 140kg #deadlift went much better but I did not get enough sleep the last days. Conditions are never perfect... at least the constant feeling of dizziness is gone.
Only exercise equipment I still need to buy are a 15lbs and 20lbs weighted bar, I have a 5lbs and a 10lbs already coming. Some better resistance bands, an adjustable weight kettlebell, forearm exercises to attach to kettlebell.
I also have a dip bar coming.
I have just about every exercise possibly in my small gym now. #exercise#fitness#gym
#legday was hard today. Had the feeling of dizziness during #deadlift
It's only 140kg (what I would still consider #Lightweight ) but I couldn't lift it more than 2 times in a row. So I tried to get as much as possible with a #pittforce approach.
#diet now finally show's it's effects on my performance. It's still 1 week left before making the Xmas break and evaluating things for the coming year.
Where does the time go each day, when my first moment to slow down is almost bedtime? Nevertheless, we're gonna take this moment to ponder the day and find THREE GOOD THINGS™️!

🏋🏻♂️ Had a monster shoulder day, which has been escaping me lately. No PRs but close.
home gym office is officially done per my plans. Bowflex, weight bench, treadmill plus adjustable weights, a medicine ball, ab roller, pull up bar (can also move to be a standing row and Australian pull up bar), and other equipment.
Foam rollers mounted on the wall as well as all the accessories including a weighted bar.
Floor is covered with 1” foam to reduce fatigue. Standing desk with work from home setup for my job and a TV with speakers that can also do Bluetooth. #exercise#fitness#gym
