In Deutschland gibt es sehr viele #Pflegefachpersonen,die mit Eigenerfahrungen zB zum Thema #Covid19,#Pflegewissenschaft,#Pflegeaufgaben,#Pflege in unterschiedlichen #Settings Medienlandschaft bereichern können.
Warum werden bevorzugt Männer in einem Beruf mit>80% Frauen eingeladen und warum dann jene mit populistischen Ansichten? @verfassungsblog gab es keine andere Person heute,die bereit war zu sprechen?
Once again, I urge any reputable #journalist to do a deep #dive into the life of Aileen #Cannon, not just the recent revelation that she accepted "gifts", but all the way back to he life in Colombia. There are #discrepancies. Where did money come from. There is also a discrepancy about her mother's reported asylum from Cuba. How did a 15 yo, a sister & mom get money & VISAs to relocate to the US? Who paid for all her expensive education? How did she buy a house in Michigan AND Florida?
For the cheap seats in the back, the word #infifada means 'uprising' and 'From the river to the sea' is about the liberation of #Palestine. 'Nuff said.
Bij de universiteit hoort vanzelfsprekend een vrije pers (NRC)
Universiteiten (en hogescholen) zijn nadrukkelijk géén bedrijven. Zij zijn gebaat bij een cultuur waarbinnen de uitingsvrijheid zo groot mogelijk is. Vanzelfsprekend hoort daar een vrije universitaire pers bij. Het is treurig dat dit betoogd moet worden.
Kann bitte ein namhafter #Journalist in einem etablierten Medium seine verblendeten Kollegen darüber aufklären, dass #Wissing kein Politiker, sondern lediglich ein #Lobbyist der #Automobilindustrie ist.
Dann würden seine Aussagen eventuell in einen anderen Kontext gesetzt und es würde mehr Gegenwind geben. Der fehlt mir in der #Presse nämlich im Moment ganz extrem.
#Canada just lost an amazing #medical writer and #journalist. Joan Hollobon was 104 when she passed Wednesday morning. She was a friend and role model who inspired me to go into the field I'm in. She was a good writer who chased the facts. I've heard her at press conferences challenge researchers for sloppy work, and praise those whose studies were impeccable.
She was feisty and didn't hold back. She was also a founder of the Canadian Science Writers' Association. She broke a lot of territory as one of the early women in journalism, working in a field that was traditionally a man's profession. She had a high standard of #ethics and challenged people if she saw conflicts of interest or bad behaviour. The world needs more like her. She'll be missed.

#POTUS Joe Biden said on Fri the US will impose costs for Russia's "appalling attempts" to use Americans as bargaining chips in a stmnt to mark the 1-yr anniversary of WSJ reporter Gershkovich's arrest in Russia.
Gershkovich, 32, was the 1st US #journalist arrested on spying charges in Russia since the #ColdWar when he was detained by the #FSB on Mar 29 last yr.
For the three reporters who have written articles about this, and the one who provided invaluable guidance, my gratitude is endless. This post doesn't apply to you, nor "the feds", the cybersecurity experts, or #lawyers (including and especially @eff), who were extremely helpful. The rest, however, should take note.
I've willingly laid my neck on a chopping block, unprotected, for over six months.
My outreach has been exhaustive:
• Attempted to engage with over 150 journalists and #news organizations,
• Coordinated frequently with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (#CISA or "the feds"),
• Consulted with numerous cybersecurity experts,
• Sought advice from multiple lawyers,
• Spoke with ten state and state court CISOs,
• Attempted to talk to several dozen state and county court clerks and judges,
• Sent emails to every Florida State Senator, State Representative, and Supreme Court justice, and to multiple governors,
• Discussed with the staff of multiple U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives,
• Contacted twelve vendors and over 40 employees
I've offered to write articles -- for free.
I've had no fewer than eight background checks done on me.
I've been cyberstalked by the Arizona Supreme Court.
I've put my job and my family's livelihood at risk in more ways than one.
I've made a grand total of $0; in fact, I've invested several hundred.
When I'm able to sleep, it's with one eye open, always waiting for "that" knock on the door.
After my first #disclosure, I prepared for a week to deal with what I expected to be a #media circus. What I received was one preemptive email from a state court #CISO (who was not affected) and one kind person (who is not a #journalist) on the #fediverse.
I've spent over 900 hours discovering, documenting, reporting, and disclosing vulnerabilities, trying to get this fixed on a mass scale, and attempting to contact the above list. I see no signs of this slowing down any time soon. All of this for what is merely a #hobby.
I've done my part. It's time for reporters to step up. The real-world harm these vulnerabilities have caused — and continue to cause — cannot be overstated. The need for widespread awareness and action is urgent.
Reporters Without Borders raises concern over the disappearance of Palestinian #journalist Bayan Abusultan, who was last seen on 19/3 among those sequestered in the Israeli raid on al-Shifa hospital in #Gaza.
The last tweet Bayan posted was witnessing the killing of her brother by Israeli forces in front of her eyes.
Here's a free idea for any #news#journalist who would like to do all the hard work to run it down:
There is, today, right now, a very effective #vaccine for #chickens against avian flu. It's been used for many years in Mexico and China and a few other places, to great effect.
But Canada and Europe and USA are all out of luck -- they can't buy it and they can't use it. Instead they just kill off whole flocks of hundreds of thousands.

As a former #journalist (worked as one for 15 years), it makes me sad to read stories like this.
I made the hard decision to reskill and ventured into the wilds of content marketing, public relations and finally in my happy place, technical writing.
But I’d do anything to go back to the way it used to be during the golden years, when I was paid to be a busy body.
