As I learn to let go
of you
the days get brighter
Unobtrusive at first
while tears still fall
and memories emerge
My muscles soften
with every salty drop
I keep what's mine to keep
You need to carry your own
From now on
I travel #light
Light and new shoots of the orange tree. A small beam of light enters through the upper right edge and is projected onto the new leaf sprouts of the orange tree.
The phenomenon is called "root pressure", the roots of a plant "pushing" water and nutrients up the plant in normal conditions, along with transpiration pull. It is made visible when the stem is cut, water still circulating in the plant for a while.
🧳Travel a lot or just don't feel like lugging heavy #laptops around? Then take a closer look at our #mobility devices and look forward to #TUXEDOs under 2.5 kg for various tasks! 🪶
Fencing with shadows in front of the Baha'i House of Worship for North America in Wilmette, Illinois. I just love the way the shadows and light play on the pavement.
For the month of March, we propose to bring the SKAO telescopes in your classroom!
http://astroedu.iau.org/en/activities/2404/skao-and-the-mysteries-of-invisible-light/ is a collection of activities to learn about the existence of light beyond what humans can see with their eyes, and how these invisible types of light provide astronomers with a new view of the Universe. Using laboratory equipment, students will experiment with infrared light, detect the existence of radio waves, and understand the basic principles of signal collection and data transfer of telescopes. They will also learn how all this is related to the Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO), the largest radio telescope in the world, currently under construction in remote areas of South Africa and Australia.
#elections in #southafrica and #cycles
Where I live in #pretoria there are no operational street lights. Today I saw those guys below replacing some bulbs. We have elections coming up and the #anc is facing unprecedented political competition. We can use data on #nighttime#light density, before and after the elections, to test for a political cycle.
I actually got this #SixOnSaturday readyin time, but by then it was late and since it had been a work day, no more oomph to post ( I take text and alt text seriously, no quick matter! lol)
We had snowy days and cold (seasonally adjusted- days in mid minus teens C) so views of #snow covered #garden beds, #texture and cool #light with a shadowy selfie + Aloe #flowers taking a look at a Haworthia- indoors of course! #winter#WinterPictures#March#Alberta#houseplants#succulents#CountryLiving
