Why the chicken? What began as a joke inspired by the commonality between the words “coop” and “co-op” turned into a serious discussion about chickens. The was made for designs like this! I love recreating the original logo specifications. This is just an approximate as the original didn’t have dimensions but love the way it looks.

The same pen plot on the plot stage of a vintage HP 7550Plus pen plotter with the lid open. The pen carousel is visible on the top right.

More logo specification plots. This time, the Aphex Twin logo by Paul Nicholson in 1991. After composing this, I realized the logo I had been using (found online ages ago) wasn’t exactly correct.

Plotted on a HP 7550 Plus.

The Aphex Twin logo, a stylized illustration of a capital A composed of arcs from several circles as if string were wrapped around. Guide lines accompany the illustration to show the construction. According to the designer Paul Nicholson, the logo has an alien vibe to it.

Was working today on kind of an entry piece for Community Design Team: a logo and new mascot for (special type of container).

His name is Bootseef and he's ready to fly through updates! 🚀🚀 Thanks to Madeline Peck and Design Team for the sketches, sources and color choices that inspired me. 👋 I enjoyed doing this particular mascot the most.

@fedora.design@peertube.linuxrocks.online and have lots of work on their plate, so I invite aspiring and designers by trade to have a looksie-look in their GitLab issues. @fedora has engineering and other teams worth their gold, making software great, as well.

I love @jimmac's new for Christian Hergert's fast power-efficient terminal app (previously codenamed "Prompt"). So colourful, organic, fun, and lively! 🤩️ Especially for a northerner living under a grey sky, the bursting leaves are welcome ☺️

I love the detailed, tactile-like quality that radiates from it; not just in the Shell dash + grid, but especially the Alt+Tab window switcher, it shines.
Goes well with Revoy's Shichimi & her dragon.

10/10 would compile again.

More skeletal trees as Black Metal typography. Photos treated using Midjourney AI. These begin to morph into symbolic shapes. The sense of ominous stillness, and languages not forged by humans, is at once very Weird Lit, and the distillation of the Black Metal vibe that band logotypes strive toward.

Here are the fruits of my years long effort to find high quality logos for every era of Doctor Who. There are variants I'm still looking for, and I've barely started looking for spin-off logos, but I think this is a decent collection.

Another logo design I did this morning. Was watching a video about Dan Clowes and while I was drawing this, which to me felt excessively precise and detailed, I was like "Holy shit, this guy is INSANELY anal about his work." Every single stroke carefully planned. Who the hell cuts rubylith sheets anymore? Very cool.

I'm lucky to formulate the idea before I'm inking it.

Anyway, Hymla is a chainmail chick character of mine. Big, missing a tooth, badass.

I'm finally making my own personal website. I'm ashamed to admit how long I've been dreaming about this.

And of course nothing is better for a personal website than SSG in my opinion, so I loaded up a @lume and a @deno_land to build it fast and simple.

But, the reason I'm writing this post — seems like I've made a logo that I like (finally). Here it is!

What do you think?

janriemer, to rust

It's alive!🎉

I've built a in , compiled it to and integrated it into a app! :awesome:

It's called selecuery.✨

It can transpile X++ select statements into query expressions. If you think "X++" is a typo and you don't have any idea of what I'm talking about, don't worry.😄

Have a look at the video below.

This project is dear to my heart! ❤️ I've started it 2019 for learning .

I think, I've been transpiled during this project as well.🤪

A video showing a web app with two code editors side-by-side. On the left, source code is entered, which looks like an SQL dialect. As the code is entered on the left, the code editor on the right updates in real-time. The right editor shows the SQL-like statement in a very different form, namely as a sequence of method calls on a query object. So it has just transpiled a declarative SQL-like statement into a procedural query expression. You can think of it a bit like C#'s LINQ: LINQ also has a declarative form and a procedural form.

janriemer,

Yay, I've created a cute little logo/icon for 's dark theme. :awesome:

It's absolutely not perfect, I know, but it's also my first logo design, so we are still learning... 🤓
