Fuckity fuck fuck fuck! Russia is so committed now. They will keep at this for a decade if they have to. Unless Putin falls out of a window, anyway.

Confident of victory over Ukraine, Russia exhibits Western war trophies.

The difference between a rock guitarist, and a jazz guitarist?

One plays three chords in front of thousands of people…

@dgar As Lou Reed said, “One chord is fine. Two chords is pushing it. Three chords and you’re into jazz.”

People who protest other people who protest genocides, by saying what about other genocides, maybe don’t know that people who protest genocides in the first place are generally more educated in and interested in protesting all genocides, than people who protest people protesting about genocides.

That’s right. When educated people side with Islamic jihadists, it says a lot about their education.

All it would take for AI to completely collapse is a ruling in the US saying these companies have to licence the content they used to train these tools.

They simply would never reach a sustainable business model if they had to fairly compensate all the people who wrote, drew, edited, sang or just created the content they use.

Simply being forced to respect attribution and licenses would kill them. Will that ruling ever happen? Maybe not. Should it? I think so.

Russia Is Repeating Its Mistakes From Start of Ukraine War

https://www.newsweek.com/russia-tank-losses-ukraine-avdiivka-tonenke-1886956

"They seem to have little regard for personnel losses and throw units at the Ukrainian lines in an attempt to exhaust the defenders and find weak spots," added Spurling, the RAND analyst.

@xs4me2 I would hope so, but so far there are no more objective prerequisites than in Nazi Germany or Japan in 1940. It’s a full-fledged fascist zombieland, and the West seems to be waiting for its Pearl Harbor.

Not surprised at all that your free-running "atheist" falls for the same logical fallacies as most gnostics and becomes a raging angry person once you point them out:

https://universeodon.com/@tomcapuder/112207233131497333

A short primer on logic would do them good, that's not even higher logic we need.

apemantus,
@apemantus@ieji.de avatar

@ljrk Quite calm answers to your sophistical provocations and inversions. You can’t even agree on basic terms, there is no subject of conversation to which logic can be applied.

apemantus,
@apemantus@ieji.de avatar

@ljrk I get your point and re-read the context, and tend to agree with your logic and demand for a clearer distinction between gnostic and agnostic atheism. Thanks for the food for thought

The Fedipact table showing which servers are blocking Threads is not accurate!

For example, it says that atomicpoet.org is blocking Threads when, in fact, this is not correct. So view this entire site with skepticism.

This worries me: Saturday at 14:53 local time, US airforce aircraft WC-135 Constant Phoenix arrived on Crete, Greece.

Why this worries me: WC-135 is the United States' nuclear radiation monitoring airplane.

For weeks Ukraine has warned, Russia has made preparations for blowing up the The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant by placing explosives at multiple on-site locations. An incident could contaminate both Ukraine and surrounding countries.

This world is not safe, until Putin is stopped.

I really, deeply wish everyone would make some collective effort to unlearn the passive argumentative nature we all learned from Twitter.

Everyone always treated posts like invitations to debate or argue every point.

We deserve better than this. We don’t have to do that.

I'm gonna try to clear up a few things

Meta is not gonna buy Mastodon or any server, this is based on absolutely nothing and untrue.

Yes, some of us indeed got contacted by Meta/Insta because they are working on a new social platform (this was in the news) and they are looking into joining the Fediverse (Mark Zuckerberg also told this in the recent podcast)

SO.

This contact was about a "heads-up" for a potential big platform to join the network and not for a "take over".
