It’s said that every warning sticker has a story, and I’d be really interested in this one attached to our hotel room TV. #tv#cats#catpee#malaysia#weird
We are recording a Week In Weird episode this tonight and we love to take questions. Hit us up if you want a question about the #weird, #supernatural, and #occult answered on this week's episode.
Reaction to our experimental pilot, The Distraction Hole, had been good! If you haven't had a chance to listen, it is free on our #Patreon and we are going to record a couple more episodes before we commit to an ongoing series, so your impressions matter!
It is a fun chat where we step away from the #weird and #supernatural and talk the fun distractions we have that week.
A bizarre plant that hasn't been sighted for 150 years, Thismia neptunis sighted in #Malaysia for the 2nd time, it has a weird lifestyle as it's mycoheterotroph, a plant that does not use photosynthesis, has parasitic relationship with fungi, lives most of its life underground, when it's time to flower, it sends up a cream white stalk topped with a burnt orange bulb, doesn't make an appearance every year, flowers open with 3 antennae protruding from the surface. #weird#flowers#plants
One of the cruelest jokes society plays on the #autistic community is drilling into the brains of very young children with a predisposition for creative, out of the box problem solving, and telling them that they themselves are, in fact, The Problem.
What happens if you turn the jazz score to a videogame inside out and play it upside down? No fucking clue, but that's what "The Company is Always Right" (by @thirdeyemutilation) sounds like to me, in the best possible way. At almost nine minutes, the track creates its own timeless space, alien and yet somehow familiar. Cool? Definitely. Psychedelic? Unquestionably. For you? Maybe! Check it out for yourself, here:
Okay, this time I want to know about weird #books! What is a book (or books) you liked or found interesting but would have a hard time recommending to the average reader because it's just too "out there"? I need more #weird books!
