When I was a young adult, the Reagan administration created an economy that caused a huge increase in homelessness. That's when the fallacy started that people were "making thousands and thousands of dollars and going home to beautiful homes." People still believe that crap.

Now they've started these shoplifting lies. It saddens me to no end that these lies start and we not only believe them, we let it divide us even further. All for the benefit of the wealthy

In 1968 Nixon made sure the Vietnam war continued and the peace talks crumbled so he could win the election. Tens of thousands more died because of that.

In 1980 Reagan made sure the hostages in Iran were held for months longer so he could win an election. He then sold arms to Iran. God knows how many died because of that

Civil forfeiture should be illegal. People have their money & property taken, depending on where, even without any probable cause, and cannot do anything to get their stuff back. It doesn't matter if they obtain great legal representation or not. And of course cops are going to go after Black people and other People of Color at a greater percentage, because cops are racists.

I just had a scary conversation with someone I love. He used to hate trunp and all that means but has slowly been going down a rabbit hole. I've tried to talk sense to him but I can't seem to speak with authority (even on subjects I'm confident in) or without emotion. (Man, my Mom was so good at that. She became more articulate the angrier she became.)

Today I learned stuff I never wanted to know but I believe it should be shared. Maybe I'm naive and everyone already knows this.

For the first time in my life, I called the FBI to report something. On the advice of the Child Abuse Hotline, which was my first call, I also called Missing And Exploited Children and reported it there.

I received a follow notice this morning. Thankfully, I checked the profile. It had been there for a day, had 15 followers and was following 333 profiles.
