Again for people (racists), complaining about falling birth rates:

The birth rate for women over 40 is not falling. The birth rate for women over 30 is not falling.

What's happening, is girls 15 to 17 are having fewer babies. Kids are having fewer kids.

Also, this is an interesting way of saying that "Teen pregnancy is down, due to sex education and contraception."

In 1991 25% of 15 year olds gave birth before they turned 21. That's bad. Now it's 6%. That's better.

This is probably useless, but if anyone is a CA lawyer, I have a SLAPP lawsuit against me for a page that I don't even host but does have text I wrote.

An attempt to sue me for 2 million dollars for what others have described as "a review, like on yelp". I gave a friend anti-transgender hate-speech filled emails someone sent me to publish.

Need help using CA anti-SLAPP to dismiss it.

In 2014, white supremacist were in an armed stand-off with federal police. Literally having guns pointed at each other

You would assume this would have led to arrests or punishment of some sort?

Nope, they were all allowed to leave, and no one was ever punished

The lesson: you are allowed to be a white supremacist, destroy property, threaten federal police

But you can't ask your country to stop funding genocide

Captchas are not even real anymore; been that way a long time.

Everyone in #infosec knows how easy it is to bypass a captcha designed for having people do free work than to function as a way to prevent bots

CaptchaBuster even w/o any setup can solve most of them for you

So not only have they made us train their LLMs, they take advantage of the fact captcha systems they provide were never intended to stop bots, so they can use their bots across the internet to gather data

Anyone else remember that scene from hackers where they say RISC is the future.

My friends and I would laugh at it, because it was so clear at that point x86 was victorious.

More than 20 years later, that line is now true and now I have egg, all over my face.

I was so naive, I mean, she's acid burn lol.

I'm giving away my atmel chips and obviously switching over to the ARM64 M0+.

Not hip? These chips are far more powerful, require less electricity, have an idle mode, and now r cheaper

This is a con.

But count on people waving this around like an accomplishment; when they are really just showing how little respect they have for us.

Several recent studies have shown that well-being seems to level out and plateau at about 75,000 USD/Year.

Happiness and well-being seem to remain essentially unchanged past 120,000 USD/Year.

Meaning that the US, and most likely the world, could literally buy everyone in the country, and possibly the world, happiness.

We just choose not to, a fact I find rather depressing.

Got production mode working +properly answered a lingering question on github

Replaced Puma b/c its simply not well suited, for the design of mastodon which is websockets (WS) heavy

Demonstrated how easy it is to switch to Iodine and remain working. Below=local VM HTTP benchmarks. WS benchmarks on VPS to come. Notice open file err w/ Puma

Generations of cop-a-ganda in the form of Law and Order have people thinking cops solve problems. Let alone always get the right guy, finish the story within the time limit, and simple morals.
