Its now a year since I joined Mastodon and since it is fashionable to do so, here is me celebrating my one year anniversery via my blog @dilman (give it a #follow for more!) It isn't just a repeat of what everyone is saying about how awesome the fediverse is, but it turned out to be about a brief history of me on the internet and the fedi is an experience very much like my first ventures.
Has #mastodon gotten more quiet? I know personally I stopped checking in much at all. Found myself falling back onto Reddit to find answers to questions.
Do we wait until Twitter or Reddit have another scandal to get another flux of people here?
What are peoples new favourite things to #follow here?
@MicroSFF - Fantastic account that posts microfiction.
@ageekgirlsguide / @ageekgirlsguide - Geeky Fedi friend who posts on K-Pop, anime, manga, etc from her two accounts. Recommending a follow of both!
@alicemcalicepants - Wide mix of posts from music to books to gaming. Reminds me of someone...can't put my finger on it (it's me...I do the same thing).
@Alice - SHe's just too funny. An important follow.
If you want a 𝓺𝓾𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂 experience on Mastodon, check out people's profiles when they follow you or you want to follow someone back. This is why completed profiles are so important. #MastodonHelp#Profiles#Follow
Mike McCue - Hello Fediverse. I'm posting this tonight from my federated Flipboard profile! We're now testing our #ActivityPub integration starting with my account. You can follow me here to see all the stories I'm curating about things like startups, photography and of course, the #Fediverse. Curious to hear your thoughts on...
Well, after messing around a little, Kbin seems to be able to do both. I can #follow your PeerTube #user or #subscribe to your #channel. Interestingly, PeerTube seems to allow you to create multiple channels under a username which is kinda similar to Kbin's #collections or Mastodon's #lists.
Waiting rooms, who loves them? I know everyone loves them, all the people you meet then ignore and forget.. Well wouldn't it be nice to have a conversation starter in your waiting room?
Follow those who will make your feed interesting.
I know Jack about customizing cars, ants, or BTS but I follow those who post about them to get new perspectives.
I do know a lot about moss though, so similar ideas is one reason I follow, but that's about a hashtag. ( #mosstodon )
Got lost somewhere in this question.
Are you trying to get more follows? I say forget that and try to get more emotional benefit from the feed. #follow
