I created a free interactive quiz for to discover which Order a Mammal belongs to. If you'd like to beta test it and let me know if you find glitches, I'd appreciate it. I've stared at the screen for too long and am no longer seeing the branching questions objectively. The plugin limits me to a max of 25 categories, so I had to get creative. TIA for the feedback.

Since October 7th, I've joined protests, fundraising events for Gaza, and students on university campuses.

As a Jew and someone who has a ton of friends and family in Israel, I want to share some thoughts on claims of antisemitism in student encampments and the broader Palestinian solidarity movement:

A fifth-grader from ISD reported being bullied by his principal. Five days later, he was handcuffed and detained. He spent 3 days in solitary confinement.

Community members chanted “Classrooms, not courtrooms!,” “Homework, not handcuffs!” “Education, not incarceration!,” and “Free, free Timothy!” as a young resident emerged from Cameron County juvenile court.

All charges were dropped against 11-year-old Timothy Murray, the boy who, we previously reported, had been placed in confinement. @josephinelee brings us this update: https://www.texasobserver.org/judge-dismisses-charges-against-brownsville-isd-honor-student?utm_campaign=mastodon

Why is Huckleberry Finn banned in schools in the US? (gearsrealm.com)

“Huckleberry Finn,” a book written by Mark Twain, is a famous American story. But, some schools in the U.S. don’t let students read it. Even though it is an important book, some people don’t like how it talks about race and uses bad language. It has now a censored version, too.

Vital point:

The date of the general election seems designed to disenfranchise young people as much as possible, since most university students who vote do so at their term-time address. Universities are in recess on 4 July & many students will be at their parents’ or between university accommodation. Please make sure anyone you know in this situation registers at an appropriate address, preferably with a postal vote.

On Monday, I’m giving a to some design all about , and how they might start to incorporate it in their , so I put this little together about how I make use of it as a person. I have an hour to talk, so this is just what I’ll open with. the rest of the time will be live chat and Q&A.
In doing something like this with absolutely no visual aspect, I want them to start thinking about, and understanding the benefit of incorporating sound in new ways, how sound can help tell a story, and how together, visual plus audio can perhaps make something special.
