Be careful what documents you print, as the secret tracking mechanisms your own printer prints could be used against you one day–even if the information printed isn't illegal or unethical.

My most awaited project of the year, the TROM II documentary, is now finally close to its release! 😃 So I just want to share a few thoughts as to why its so interesting for me:

👉 The entire , around 5 hours long and divided into 4 parts, is made by a single person (@tio), using only software like @kdenlive for editing, and on a distro (tromjaro.com) as the main OS. This in itself is a very impressive feat! And also a shout-out to the awesome / community for how much it has grown. I heard this documentary is the biggest project ever made on so far, and making such a big documentary by a single person is no joke - took years of hard work to complete.

👉 Following a approach, it will be released on platforms like @peertube first! Free for all to watch without any ads or data collection. I don't know if this will be uploaded to proprietary platforms like , tho I'm sure will always have top priority 😉

👉 Unlike the first TROM documentary which was released a decade ago, this one features interviews with people like @bigworldsmallsasha, @aaron, @sober_pirate, @georgi and Tio himself. They talk about their personal lives, how they grew up in this world and such, their stories are supposed to give us a larger perspective on how our current society works. I can't tell you much more until I get to watch the documentary and see how all of this falls into place 🙂

👉 No stock footage has been used in the documentary! If making a 5 hour documentary doesn't sound hard enough for you then this will do it, lol 😄 So for example if it shows some scientists looking at data in one scene, then its actual scientists looking at actual data that they work on, not some stock footage of actors pointing at screens and faking stuff. Finding real world footage like this is a time consuming task as it'd require going thorugh a lot of documentaries, videos, etc looking for the right clip you need.

👉 If you've ever read any of the TROM e-books or seen their videos before then you'll know how it goes - looking at the world from a scientific perspective, encouraging people to be curious about the world we live in and the universe that surrounds us, and perhaps most important of all, to cut through all of the social constructs we've been accustomed to and see the world for what it really is, because only if we truly understand our world can we solve the many problems that are plaguing our planet right now. To get a little taste of what TROM is about you can try watching these short videos they've released in the past:

We're in do-or-die territory now. Apathy, armchair activism, and voting aren't going to cut it.

Legislation getting passed is increasingly oppressive. Lives are already being lost to abortion bans, trans genocide rhetoric is ramping up, meanwhile the federal government is arguing about censoring our internet apps.

Mutual Aid, Community Defense, local organizing are all absolutely necessary right now. If you've not had experience, this can be daunting, but it shouldn't be.

Look up resources for your area. Advocacy groups, unions, defense orgs, etc. Find a local Food Not Bombs, or other mutual aid group. If you're an at risk group, look into defense and find a network you can tap for help.

Anything tangible is better than nothing.

I'm going to reply with some resources and orgs, and I'd encourage others to reply and add any suggestions.

The Guide to Peer-to-Peer, Encryption, and Tor: New Communication Infrastructure for Anarchists

"An exhaustive anarchist overview and guide to various apps and tech that utilize peer-to-peer and encryption.

Shhhhh
This is a discussion about digital tools for communicating securely and privately. To begin, it must be stressed that a face-to-face meeting, out of sight of cameras and out of earshot from other people and devices, is the most secure way to communicate. Anarchists were going for walks to chat long before encrypted texting existed, and they should still do so now, whenever possible."

One of the reasons I campaign for autonomy and consent and not for legal bans on genital cutting is that enforcement of such bans is unrealistic and involves obvious violations of the rights (of the parent and, separately, of the child) to privacy.

Another reason is that the biopower of the state is always deployed more forcefully against marginalized communities.

Man kann dieses Interview nicht oft genug empfehlen;

-Worldviews and in ecological movements in the course of capitalist mobilization for the preservation of the system-

An interview with @PeterGelderloos
".....So the governments that have made sure that ecocide continues will suddenly be the ones protecting the environment; or the companies that make billions exploiting people, exploiting other living things, and exploiting the planet as a living system will suddenly start making products that protect the planet.

This is absurd; any reasonable person can see that this is absurd. But we all have a great emotional interest in not recognizing the absurdity, because otherwise it means it's on us. Otherwise, it means we have to do the really hard work and take the very big risks to change this, to stop this ecocide machine...."

How nonviolence protects the state!
Peter Gelderloos

"With enough bold, empowering resistance, we can move beyond small victories and win a lasting victory against the state, patriarchy, capitalism, and white supremacy. Revolution is imperative, and revolution requires struggle. There are many effective forms of struggle, and some of these methods can lead to the worlds we dream of. To find one of the right ways, we must observe, evaluate, criticize, communicate, and above all, learn by doing."

Interview on The Final Straw, with anarchist author and activist, Peter Gelderloos about his latest book:

The Solution are already here -
Strategies for an ecological revolution from below

"So intelligent solutions to problems come from people who know their territory on the ground, who know what resources are available to them. And they're equally global, they just come from the territory, they come from below, and not from boardrooms or conference rooms where they're not looking at territory, they're looking at maps. And they look first and foremost at their own interests in maintaining control. Because their ability to do anything in response to the problem is really based on our immobility, our dependence, and our enforced passivity."
