This was my first ever full torso landscape bodypaint.

#ThrowbackThursday to March 2014, when the waves of a storm system pounded the seawall of La Jolla's "Children's Pool" — and it all disappeared in this long exposure. :)
I realized today that there's been a dark and moody theme running through my photography since the start of the pandemic. It isn't all my work, but it has been a constant addition and is different than what I did before.

On our first full day on Skye, we eased ourselves in gently.
We elected for the Scorrybreac circuit at Portree, Skye's main settlement. For a short hike it offers fantastic views down Loch Portree and across the Sound of Raasay. Changing light conditions definitely helped.
Approaching the island of Capri by boat, greeted by this lovely sight: a colorful array of buildings perched along the water's edge, each facade painted in vibrant hues that reflect the Mediterranean sun. Behind them, a towering mountain rises, its rugged cliffs adding depth to the scene. Many movies made here, including in part Under the Tuscan Sun.
