I’ve created this little graphic to post as my last ever post on #instagram. Before I do i thought I’d throw it out here first. Any thoughts or tweaks?
Did you know that #algorithm based platforms like #insta have "tools" for creators to know when their audience is usually active so they can plan when to post for more "engagement?"
Guess who can't access those kind of "helpful tools" because it's inaccessible - cognitively broken me

People don’t seem to realize that although #Fediverse has many problems to be solved, it’s the first and last free social media that we have a chance to self manage, control the flow of propaganda, increase the influence of activists, unions, revolutionaries, environmentalists, amplify the voice of minorities and freedom of information globally etc, without fascists, mass media, governments, trolls, advertisements etc.
Even if this fails at least we would have tried to build something different of our own…
So people that stay on #twitter#X#facebook#insta#TikTok or jump to the next new hipster trend like #threads#bluesky by fascist billionaires, in my personal and probably unpopular opinion, shouldn’t talk about how fascism, capitalism, consumption, social and mass media control and destroy our lives.

Zuckerberg now says Threads has 70 million signups. In its first two days. Of course, it’s simple for anyone with an Instagram account to sign up, but that’s the whole point.
What’s it going to take for you to not help these assholes continue to fuck people over?
Me? I abandoned those media a few years ago. I paid attention, and likely so did everyone reading this post.
Others: Foster awareness. If you're a #writer, get the real information into an articles= or #novel or #screenplays. If you are a photographer, take satirical pictures and post them on-platform and elsewhere. If you are a #videographer... an #artist... Until people who don't pay attention like we do get jolted, they won't switch (†).
Those that get what they want from it: Nothing so long as they get what they want. Figure a way to make it so they don't get what they want.

(†) Keep in mind that a #FB, Twit, #Insta, etc. alternative may seem so difficult to set up, like #Mastodon is for many mundanes. If they can't grok it they won't switch. In which case, write better SIMPLE bootstraps for mundanes.
So, alles auf die pnpde.social-Instanz umgezogen, inkl. Follower und denen ich so folge. Jetzt hoffe ich, dass mir #Mastodon besser zusagt. #Twitter geht ja echt langsam nimmer, für #Insta ist mein Leben und mein Essen zu langweilig, für #Facebook bin ich zu jung, mein TV hat keinen #Teletext mehr.
Feel like flinging my phone into a canal in Amsterdam this morning. There are too many SocMed apps now, for me. Their functionality is different, which is confusing. #Threads won’t let me choose what my TL looks like, or even name of my profile. It has to be the same name as #Insta. But I’ve already got, and like, Insta. But I can’t delete Threads without deleting Insta. #Bluesky is cloudy and primitive. Will probably delete bc anti vaxx. #Birdsite just sad but that’s where my followers are.
