Czy mamy tu kogoś kto chciałby zagrać w squasha? #squash

I love squash. LOVE squash. Of all kinds. Except kabocha for some reason. But even then, it's not the flavor, it's the mealy texture...
Anyway today for my OMaD I indulged in some squashes with my quarter of a roasted duck. I took the ends of a spaghetti squash - like bowls - and Pete had the rest. I just put in some butter and a lot of shredded parmesan cheese. AND I had half of my last-of-the-season (but I hope not!) delicata squash, just with salt and butter. I could seriously eat the stuff every day!
Well, the hour is late, and while sunk deep in our winter darkness, let's try to find some inner light, and spend a moment think of THREE GOOD THINGS™️!
🏥 I love my #telehealth care team, total game changers, all of them.
🍲 Butternut #squash stew that The Domestic Partner made me for while he's away.
Alright... day 1 of the SA Masters #Squash Doubkes inter-provincial tournament in Pietermaritzburg.... In 3 days time I will be a little sore after 10 matches...
Today's adventure will be making kimchi and figuring out what to do with my bok choy and shishito peppers.
I'm thinking of adding some of the Bok Choy to the kimchi... I've only got normal green cabbage, not Napa... so it's already bastardized-- not worried about that.
What should I do with the rest of the Bok Choy, though? My husband and I bought a bunch of heads, and since I forgot to cook him some to take to work this week, I have to figure out what to do with it. I don't particularly want to just stir fry it, but I suppose I could.
As for the shishitos... I'm not a big fan, myself... that's my husband. I gotta figure out something I can do that will hold til Friday at the very least.
FUCK. I also have a butternut squash and two acorn squash I need to figure out what to do with.
Where we used to live, I'd put things on the back deck to photograph. Then this happened...this is one of the many Douglas squirrels that visited us there...
Well, we’ve had a day of rain with several more to come, so maybe it is time to shut down the summer #garden. I’m so proud of my 55 pounds of #squash babies! #HarvestSeason
With the #yegWX frost warning, we decided we should just harvest our squash rather than try to cover them (the plants had spread over nearly half the garden).
Tempting as it was to try to let them grow a bit longer, I'd say these pumpkins are big enough.
They are an heirloom variety from Australia that are actually a really neat shade of blue that I wish came across better in the photo.
In keeping with late-summer tradition, a so-called “friend” abandoned a large squash on my doorstep. She called it a zucchini, but the skin is thicker and a bit warty. I think I’ll cut it into chunks, toss with olive oil and s/p and roast it. And probably some fresh herbs. Any other ideas? #squash #cucurbits #gardening
