#TMobile USA sends mobile phone usage data to #PushSpring, which T-Mobile acquired in 2019.
T-Mobile assigns a unique ad ID to your cellphone and gathers app usage data.
To opt out and remove all data of you, there's an app - "magenta advertisements platform".
For me it's horrible that they do so without telling and that the app is somewhere hidden - no one would come up with that name!
Some of the top wireless carriers in the U.S. have been fined millions of dollars, for illegally sharing customers’ personal data without their consent.
AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon have all received government fines following allegations by the FCC that they had “improperly shared users’ geolocation histories to third parties, including to prisons, as part of their commercial programs.” @CNN has more.
Welcome to #America 🇺🇸 where ALL of the major wireless carriers sell customer data to…who are they selling our data to‽ #FCC needs to find out who is buying this data, as it is alarming!
#ATT, #Verizon, #Sprint / #Tmobile (I believe they merged already) are selling our data as if they were #Google. I would not be surprised if various government agencies were buying the info.
Do not, under any circumstances, sign up with T-Mobile if you can avoid it. After 15 (yes, you read that right FIFTEEN) years of continuous service with them I had to switch carriers because their network is unusable in my new home, and now they're trying to squeeze a final $100 out of me with some bullshit billing, after they lied to me on the phone and told me what my final bill amount would be.
Aaand they can't resolve it over the phone because I don't remember a PIN that I supposedly set up 15 years ago (surprise) so I have to go into the store and yell at some poor retail bastards to try to get it resolved.
My guess is they're going to end up refusing to lower it because apparently 15 years of customer loyalty is worth less than $100 to them.
with the banning of #TikTok i have to, yet again, remind all the partisan Democrats:
the mythical WHITE Silent Majority is as real as the weight loss from these pills Betsey Devos told me i could become a millionaire selling them to you
Democrats have been consistently losing the white demo since the 1990s but for the Obama blip.
the base is neither black or white but BROWN: very Latin@ and So. Asian —and south-east Asians are poised to overtake Latinos the next decade... 🧵
all techbro companies are para-military agencies. techbros are one mustache away from Springtime for Hitler; gleefully spying on you & me for the #ACAB state.

Another #5G#TMobile note: the latest crop of #FWA routers from them have the MediaTek T-750 chip, which has 2CA NR in both directions (vs. the first 3 5G modems that used the Qualcomm X55, which can't do NR CA).
At this point, T-Mobile has 2CA basically everywhere (n71+n41 at least), and n41+n41 in a bunch of places, so the newer modems, contrary to their paperwork, should provide more capacity/higher peak speeds than the old ones in most markets. Particularly with this week's n41 widenings.
#5G update: #TMobile has dropped 2.5 GHz (Band 41) #LTE entirely in a number of markets, including Austin, widening n41 by the same amount. I think the #Austin switchover happened at ~9:20am this morning as a friend briefly lost connectivity right around then (probably cell site reboot), prompting me to look at my phone's field test.
I found a sweet, sweet 100 + 80 MHz of #n41 live, which is well above what #Verizon or #att can bring online with #CBand right now.
Have you ever wanted to start editing #Wikipedia, but got overwhelmed or felt like you didn't know where to start? Every time I encourage people to start editing, I hear that, so I'm trying to help.
@molly0xfff FYI if you want to edit Wikipedia DO NOT GET T-MOBILE HOME INTERNET.
I’ve never tried to get an account on Wikipedia, but I can’t now.
When I first discovered this someone suggested that I might need to sign up for an account, so after seeing your post I tried again and I got the same message.
#UnitedStates nationwide #cell service #outage is preventing some #ATT customers from making or receiving calls, including emergency calls, some 911 centers say.
The website #DownDetector reported >73k AT&T outages as of 9AM ET, with the first reports coming in shortly after 4AM. The site also saw a smaller number of outages for #Verizon & #TMobile.
A large number of U.S. mobile phone users are reporting network outages and are unable to make phone calls, according to Downdetector. The BBC has the details:
The 1 problem about T-Mobile Home Internet is all the idea places to place their gateway (their modem / router combo unit), would ultimately mean either moving or mistakenly bumping into the unit.
That, ultimately, causes a change in the signal I receive.
All the places I can think of that would keep their gateway stationary away from anyone, avoiding any issue, is not likely good for the unity to receive the best signal.
