Well, i've tried to make a case for politically correct #inclusion and #wellbeing, but i got shut down rather rudely with an unsophisticated troll-ish post, on #GitHub.
#MentalHealth is important for a person’s wellbeing. As one who suffers from a mental illness, having resources that keep track of those ups and downs, things that trigger good and bad feelings, and ways to calm down when things are bad, really make it all better.
I’ve been using an app called #Finch. I absolutely recommend it.
A really lovely article about cooking & eating together & community buidling. I really feel that organising small evening meals together is amongst one of the very best things we can do at the moment, for all round wellbeing. A fellow school mum suggested an evening like this, we are meeting at her house next week, can’t wait.
It seems that #mentalhealth experts are increasingly concerned about the proliferation of aps around mental #wellbeing.
Some manipulate vulnerable users, while also delaying potential recourse to treatment... some may even contribute to worsening mental health.
Having watched Strava demolish a social #cycling group with its shift in how some saw the activity, its no surprise to me that mental health aps may not be in the best interests of the user(s).
I'm doing a piece of design research work on Streets for Diversity and am looking to reach people who identify as neurodivergent.
The work is with Royal College of Art's research centres. If you identify as neurodivergent or experience sensory sensitivities, we want to hear from you.
Can you share your experiences/wishes of the streets in a survey with us in this survey?
I got to spend some time texting with old friends I haven't chatted with in a while this evening.
They won't see this or know this, but man - it felt good. A well timed bit of positivity, a bit of appreciation for each other, swapping stories and family updates.
So stoked to share that I’ve accepted a freelance blogging gig at Read Poetry, an online community that celebrates poetry as a form of expression, activism, & self-care.
My first article shares 4 poetry prompts to support self-care and mental wellbeing. Check it out on readpoetry.com, and be sure to subscribe to their blog to get future articles from myself and the rest of the Read Poetry blogging team!
It’s been a good month for running. Steady pacing combined with speed work continues to see an improvement in my cardio fitness with VO₂ max levels breaking the 49 mark.
119km for the month; no niggles or twinges to report; warmer, brighter mornings, and a run in London with a friend from Uni made for a rather marvellous May!
The thing I did not realize about the sentence "You need to learn to say 'No'.", is that most of the time when you have to say "No", nobody actually asked you a question beforehand. #WellBeing#MentalHeath
Studies Show We Have Better Well-Being With Internet Access
'We’ve been left to think that being on the Internet is a waste of time and not good for us overall. However, results of a recently-published survey shows that we have a better well-being with access to the Internet.'
First off, I'd say none. #grains are among the #food most burdened with #antinutrients. If you absolutely must have bread, though, here are a few pointers.
The mats are waiting for today's deep meditation participants. After today, the focus will be on my retreat in Luxembourg. Already 7 participants registered for my meditation in the park session. I'm excited to meet them soon. Fingers crossed for good weather.
SLOW RENGA Respond with #haiku using the suggested first lines & start each haiku with the same first lines below: DISSONANCE… or LISTENING TO RAIN… Post haiku in comments, enjoy mulling over the first line and considering your options at different points during your day. Look forward to reading your haiku and seeing where these lines take you. #Writing#poetry#creativity#wellbeing#write#writingcommunity#amwriting#poem#writer
