I always think it's funny when right-wing types get mad at Star Wars for becoming "woke." They didn't notice the obvious fascist imagery? They didn't realize that they were the villains in this whole cinematic universe? So unobservant! I would never make that mistake! I'd know if I was the villain in a whole cinematic universe!

Anyway, I can't wait to watch the second installment of Dune! What'll happen next in Arrakis(Iraq)? Will the spice(oil) flow? Will Paul's Jihad topple the empire(us)?

@hembrow the motor assembly for my e-bike isn’t made anymore, afaik, so if it breaks it’s likely the whole bike becomes landfill. And this isn’t some eBay container no brand, it’s a Shimano powered Gazelle! I was also quoted nearly £500 for a Gazelle supplied replacement battery. Makes sense to crack open and source battery elements myself at that price.

So, my bikes got stolen, and I appeal to the for help. First, my new Kona Rove, green 56cm. How new? So new I don’t even have a picture, so you’ll have to imagine the black SKS aluminium mudguards and Tortec rear rack added to the pic below. It also had a saddle pouch with spare tube, Park tool levers, and Crankbrothers multi tool. They also took the Decathlon Tilt 500. It will be very obvious it was stolen because it will come without battery or charger. Boosts most welcome.

On the most important things, stay the course, even if it means a savaging in the press: on human rights, immigration, education, health, climate. Have a clear, humane red line and stick to it no matter what. Eventually you’ll be vindicated, and the hard right headbangers don’t vote for you anyway.

Since the total operating losses were $58 million that's $42 million just for interest on debt! Interest. How big is the debt? How was it incurred?
