I’ve just finished rereading The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. I think it was the first of her novels that I read, many years ago now, and after reading others I thought it was due a revisit. I didn’t remember it well and I felt sure that at the time I may have missed some of the themes that run through it, or didn’t fully appreciate them at least. Kingsolver is an excellent storyteller & this is a fascinating & epic tale. Well worth reading (or rereading!).
