Why so many apologies from everyone? Is it that hard to think before you publish?
I don’t see why it’s so complicated to be mindful of people’s sensitivities. We are human and we all count. It’s not a perfect world but can’t we strive to make it one? #thoughts #tolerance #ideals #philosophy

Social media gives the mistaken impression that we "know" a lot of people, but to truly know someone -- their depth, richness, personality, and character -- requires spending actual time with them in a time and space of reality.

When we do, we may find that we like some people more than we thought we would.

A still, quiet place,

Surrounded by rugged strength

Where fear doesn't reign.

Imagine if there were no wild areas where one could escape, where one can marvel at and contemplate a view that was not built by corporations or governments. Nature's power lies in her beauty and timelessness.

Ever just tired of things being so crappy? Now I know why old people are so grumpy all the time.

teamtuck,

Debating on writing a small blog post about this because there is a lot to discuss on this topic. I'm just honestly getting fed up with some things, even the fact that I'm technically lying to myself and that there is no good solution.

When you're good at what you do, you can do it well under all sorts of circumstances. But to get that good, you need to practice.

Experience does not come overnight. Neither does skill.

🤷

People are ridiculing this bit of advice volunteered by one privileged feminist, but TBH she's right; if you want to "transform your life" it needs to be something big and upwardly mobile like this, that you can get into incrementally. Anything else is a waste of your time.

So often to see clearly, you have to get out and away from impediments blocking you -- whether you're in the middle of a forest or a city. When you step into a place that gives you a 360 degree view, you're able to see so much more of landscape, sky, and perspective.

Pondering moving all my posts from https://lwgrs.wordpress.com over to https://lwgrs.bearblog.dev. It's a manual process but feels silly having my stuff in multiple places. I've relegated the WP site to my longer essays but honestly I think it makes the most sense to just do that on Medium, and keep the blogging over at Bear Blog. These are the that go through my head when I should be working.

Can't help but wonder: I never get any sales, never get any comments, never get any click-throughs...does anyone even read this stuff I write, or am I just wasting my time? It all seems so pointless...

I notice other people when they go to the effort to write things and post things they actually get sales, click-throughs, readers who comment, and all that good stuff. Me? Nobody ever even wants to engage with my works at all.

My whole life has been a pattern where literally nobody has ever truly liked me or really wanted me. When I became active on here I hoped it might be different, but no...nobody wants me or likes me online either. There's something about me that's just defective... 😔

"I" am a self-aware, singular, unique point of self-referential consciousness. But you, and everyone else in the world are also our own "I". We are all an "I".

And while we are all different, in circumstances, history, etc... we are all the same "I". The self that asks.

In that sense, "I" really is plural, all of us.

"I" are both rich and poor, healthy and sick, in wars and in peace, all over the world.

The answer to "What if I were <blank> instead?" Is, "I/we already are."

As a beekeeper and someone who has spend a very long time in the technology and startup industry, I have great doubts on the economic feasibility of AI-powered beekeeping. (there's a startup with $53M in funding to use AI to "optimize pollination"). The entire US beekeeping industry had revenues of around $778M in 2022.
