“As a physician I am deeply concerned about North Carolina’s potential total ban on mask-wearing. It’s disturbing to think immunocompromised and cancer patients could be deemed criminals for following medical advice aimed at safeguarding their health,” [Jerome] Adams said in one post.
Please read and share this information about voter ID for your elections. There is a way to get a free ID if you don’t have one and a way to file for an exception if you need one.
@TonyStark A lot of Americans think requiring voter ID somehow infringes on our rights, due to fear that political parties could somehow access that information to target voters.
That’s what voter registration, driver’s licenses, vehicle license plates, and cell phones do already, so it’s a poor excuse.
As a judge of election, I think it is a good idea to require voter ID. It would certainly help to stop some accusations of election fraud.
We don’t have to scan or capture the ID at a polling station. Just visually verify who is voting.
I don’t have a problem with putting your name on your ballot either. You’re already registered to vote.
We can’t even drive our cars in this country, without a license, registration, and insurance.
Voting should be bullet proof. Prove who you are, that you are legally registered to vote, then get a receipt for your vote after you have voted.
BREAKING: #NorthCarolina court strikes down power-grab law that transfers the ability to appoint members to the state board of elections from Gov. Roy Cooper (D) to the Republican-controlled state legislature. #legal
Via Dave Wasserman, who confirms my lack of confidence in winning the House back:
New: NC Republicans just passed a new gerrymander that could flip the state from 7D-7R to as lopsided as 11R-3D. It dooms Reps. Kathy Manning (D) in #NC06, Wiley Nickel (D) in #NC13 and Jeff Jackson (D) in #NC14 and puts Rep. Don Davis (D) in a Toss Up #NC01. #NorthCarolina
Folks. This might be #NorthCarolina's next governor. No joke.
Heartland Signal:
At Moms for Liberty's Philadelphia event, North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (R) says dictators like Hitler, Stalin and Mao are being taken out of context and promotes reading their writings.
"...It is time for us to get back and start reading some of those quotes."
@ProPublica Where to begin? X needs Y. How do we get to that conclusion? X is in distress and usually would choose to consult Z who would independently assess the situation, make further inquiry and suggest potentially useful options. This often works and is always worth a try. In this situation it seems to have been bypassed. X has decided that the distress whatever form it takes will be most effectively relieved by Y in the absence of anything more than a personal fiat. Fat chance.
@SrRochardBunson@redstateinsurgents As a German that doesn't sound good. We had a 'Secret state police'. GeStaPo or Geheime Staatspolizei was the name in the time of the Nazis. Maybe you should try to stop the fascism of the GOP. Just saying...
@w7voa And it’s a goddamned good thing that REPUBLICANS refuse to keep kids/teens/young adults safe because FREEDOM to FUCKING kill anything that MOVES. Go, GOP, go. you fucking gun lobby tools

Moody and mysterious are the words I would use to describe this beautiful seascape at Wrightsville Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. I was pleasantly surprised to see the fog and mists rolling in around the pier early one morning. Enjoy!
Basically this amounts to a hostile takeover of the RNC...
And hammers home the final nail in the coffin of the republican party..
They are now full fledged MagaParty... the GOP is officially dead.
Trump will be able to launder party donations directly to his pockets and no funds will be released to those running for office without a full loyalty pledge to trump.
