Very amusing 4-minute video by Robert Reich about how Musk and Bezos want to dismantle government protection for workers.

Nothing tells you how important unions are like corporations controlled by the richest men on earth suing to dismantle the government agency that protects the right to organize."
The agency accused Amazon of using the app, which can be set to automatically delete messages, to hide information related to the FTC’s ongoing #antitrust investigation into the company #security#privacy
Amazon's EV company, Rivian, started 5 years ago when they bought a Mitsubishi factory in Illinois. At the old factory workers were union, made $30/hr, and had great benefits. Now, 25 years later, Rivian workers start at $20/hr, have no union, and injuries ran rampant.
The main problem with this article is that it doesn't acknowledge that #Billionaire robber barons, of any political stripe, should not be able to so easily gobble up the #Media.
But the point remains. The #American Far Right is much better at propaganda, and funding it, than the American Centre is at countering it.
"The Right-Wing Media Takeover Is Destroying #America..."
Jeff #Bezos pledged four years ago that Amazon would lead the way on #carbon reduction. Since then, the firm’s emissions have risen by 40 percent — and its use of creative accounting suggests that the real figure is far higher.
How much free advertising does #amazon need from #journalists? I mean is #bezos to poor to pay for actual ads?
🤔
Maybe the damn reason #news#media are losing money is because they give away so much free advertising under the guise of articles companies don’t need to actual pay for actual #advertising
Illness: Kessler Syndrome
Cause: Billionaires
Consequence: Epic space pollution for a thousand years.
Based on the near miss stats from #Starlink that emerged recently, someone needs to be the grown-up in the room and prevent the satellite catastrophe that's coming from this billionaire ego clash.
Also, at least spaceX have experience in sat-ops. Amazon? not so much.
"Yes, #Isaacson spoke to “adversaries” like Jeff #Bezos and Bill #Gates, but not (at least per the list) to line workers, not to #Jenna, not to anyone whose family member died in an #Autopilot crash, nor anyone who tried to organize a #Tesla plant.
