I don't understand people who buy & install light coloured carpet. Do they think no one who has parties, pets, or children will ever own that house??
Are they even human or some kind of never-spilling robot?
I just can't. 😭
When my mom shopped for new flooring in her kitchen she told the store "I want a crumbs & dirt pattern." And when she bought new carpet for the stairs she asked for "sawdust & dirt" (dad is a carpenter). This is wisdom. 😆
Totally random request but I feel like this is probably the right place for this.
-I'm looking for a killer DIY home made cleaner that makes chemical sense. I've been using a great mix of isopropyl/dish soap /washing soda/water that works great in my bathroom. But I need something that doesn't leave a white residue for the kitchen. Same recipe minus washing soda? I'm going to use it for counter tops etc #cleaning#chemistry#biochemistry#DIY#InteriorDesign#lifestyle
The Faience Corridor of Glasgow City Chambers. In a building filled with stunning interior architecture, this was the part that made my jaw drop the most. Ten feet wide and one hundred feet long, every inch of its walls and domed ceilings are adorned with glazed decorative ceramic tiles.
I got so deep into the alt text I almost forgot to write the toot!
This is peak #PNW#hygge. It has been cccold and power went out for about 50 mins so we lit a fire and the power came back on.
For people who care, like me… the firewood is very seasoned and we only use this baby when power goes out on very cold days. We can cook on it and, because of its ventilation system, it heats the entire house. It’s outdated but man it works well!
#interiordesign and #homeowner folks: any recommendations for well manufactured, durable kitchen faucets? I’m primarily looking for an arc-style faucet in black.
Kaka'ako Gecko, photography. This is the actual color of this cheeky fellow, no photoshop enhancement! He was hanging out in my favorite flower shop in Kaka'ako on Oahu. The shop is called Paiko.
What's the least hideous least expensive way to cover up my lovely murder basement's floor?
Only this third of it is "finished" due to low vents and such, so I only need to cover it. Flooding is low risk but something that wouldn't be obliterated if my sump pump fails would be ideal
