I just heard the bad news that I am probably going to need a new job starting in July.
So, before beginning the regular search, I wanted to ask my Fedi friends if anyone could use a capable C++ programmer with lots of graphics and networking experience. I wouldn't mind a change, so I'm open to anything. Even other programming languages! It would be awesome if I could use Linux to do the work. 🐧
Locations I would consider are: Central Europe, Melbourne, Sydney or Remote
Hi, LinkedIn fam! It’s with great sadness that I announce my journey with Osh-Kosh has come to an end. I have learned a great amount from my Marketing Team colleagues in this whirlwind week, but we have decided to part ways over creative differences. Please let me know if anyone is looking to hire a graphic designer. I’ve provided a sample of my most recent work for review.
It's time again for me to ask if anyone knows of any long term projects or roles in illustration and design!
I have over 16 years experience in working within remote/distributed teams and agencies and am efficient in using Adobe CC, Figma, Webflow, Miro. I've done everything from icon and logo/brand design, editorial, interactive brochures and forms, character design.
In close partnership with a wide range of companies, I have developed logos, logotypes, and symbols that are true representations of that companies' brands, complement their particular fields, and resonate with the audiences they hope to reach.
I've been unexpectedly laid off, & am looking for a new role. I have a PhD in quantum physics, lasers, & optical sensors, & experience in integrated photonics design.
I'm open to roles as a technical contributor, doing engineering & research. I've also been an adjunct professor & a teaching assistant, which I loved. I'm not able to relocate right now, so I'm looking for roles in Minnesota or remote.
Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities #OpenToWork#fedihired
Hey folks, this is your irregularly scheduled reminder that I'm on the job market. Looking for permanent or contract stuff in the developer docs space as a senior individual contributor or team lead. Live community. Love remote work. Laugh when I'm able to help other people build stuff.
Thanks to everyone who has already passed along links, made introductions or boosted my posts.
After being with Mozilla for a little over 5 years, I've been laid off today, alongside a group of some of my favorite people. So, I'm on the job market! I've got ~8 years #iOS, #Swift, and #ObjC under my belt, working on everything from libraries all the way through full user-facing features. So, I'm #opentowork. Boosts would be much appreciated!
Well, the day has finally come. After being impacted by Mozilla’s latest layoffs last week, my last day of being a Mozillian comes to an end. Time for my next adventure! #opentowork
I'm currently looking for employment in data scientist or similar ML engineering roles.
I have a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience (reinforcement learning), and a B.S. in electrical and computer engineering. My recent industry experience is in using GP models for HVAC optimization. Most comfortable in Python but also capable in C/C++, Java, and MATLAB. Core competencies include signal processing, technical writing.
Hi folks, I'm back on the job market! I would love to work with the dev community or engineering in Node.js, JavaScript, C#, ASP .NET, or SQL. I'm especially interested in using my illustration skills! Please help spread the word, and thank you!! #DevRel#OpenToWorkhttps://reverentgeek.com/about/
Why yes, I am totally in sales / self boosting mode - with about two shifts this month, a couple of leads but nothing solid yet and a firehose of job applications in the wind, 2024 is repeating on 2023's holy crap level precarity - except we really don't want to live out of our car again and would love to keep paying the rent.
My friend @octothorpe is looking for his next role as a design manager. He’d be quite the catch for any organization.
He’s super smart, has tons of experience, and is a kind person. He really knows his way around product/UX.
He was my boss for about five months where he fostered a meaningful space for me. He is encouraging, friendly, and respectful. If you need this kind of leader on your team, I highly recommend that you get in touch with him.
The last few months of uncertainty about what country I'll be living in and visa processes and moving my dog abroad have all been good and fun* but I'm finally settled and in need of a new job.
I bring 14 years of web design/UX and product management expertise to the table with a focus on developer experience & DevTools.
I'm open to FTE positions or freelance design projects.
I do things like website audits to show you where you can improve your experience & keep customers returning to your site.
Don't have a design? I can do that too. I've built sites from the ground up, from 0 to 1 and my product management experience means I see how the experience fits into the broader company vision.
I have been a full stack developer for 6 years and worked on Rails monoliths, micro services, Ember & React (JS/TS) SaaS apps which helped from 50 to 200k users worldwide!
[boosts appreciated] hello fedi, i'm a recent bachelor of #design graduate with a major in multimedia communication design, and i am currently #OpenToWork! remote preferred, but i'm willing to work onsite if needed @ bandung or jakarta, indonesia. i'm capable of a wide variety of skills, including #illustration, graphic design, motion graphics, and a little bit of web dev, too!
I've been writting web software for 25 years, the last 18 or so almost exclusively with Ruby and Rails. I've been through the Browser Wars, the Rails Hype, and the Lost Decade of SPAs. I'm a grognard with sane convictions.
I've also dual-classed as a manager for the last 10+ years, with a good record for turning strong potentials into great professionals.
