#apple broke the update process on the Apple #watch.
Usually when you tasked your iPhone to update the Apple Watch, you were asked to enter the code on the iPhone.
Now they request the code to be entered on the watch.
This is stupid on several levels:
I update the watch when I am NOT wearing it. So during the update I cannot enter the code.
In fact Apple enforces that you are not wearing your watch during an update. It will only update if the watch is on the charger.
When on the charger, you cannot enter the code on the watch.
You have to remove it from the charger, enter the code and then immediately put it back on the charger otherwise it will not update (because no charger).
The Apple Watch would automatically update only during the night. It is never on the charger at that time because it is monitoring my sleep.
There is no way to tell the watch: update automatically every time when you're on the charger.
Apple Watch and the new widgets introduced in OS 10. The watch widgets are not just a way of scrolling through your watch complications. Watch widgets are totally separate. And in fact, I use widgets as additional complications that I might not access as much. Here is how to add, remove, and work with widgets on your Apple Watch.
To access and scroll through your watch widgets, on your clock face, just flick up until you hear widgets and double tap. A list of your current watch widgets will appear.
You can navigate from widget to widget in 2 ways. By turning the crown, and by swiping from one to another.
Editing watch widgets.
To put your widgets in edit mode, just double tap and hold on any of the widgets. It will bring up your list of widgets in edit mode.
To remove a widget, just flick up on the widget and choose remove while in edit mode.
To add a widget, just choose the add button at the beginning of the list while in edit mode. It will bring up a list of all of the different apps to choose from. Double tap the app you want to add a widget from, and it will bring up a list of available widgets from that app. Just double tap the widget you want to add from that app to add it to your widget list.
To rearrange the order of your widgets.
While in edit mode, go to the widget you want to move. flick up and choose pin. This puts it in arrange mode. Then just double tap and hold on the widget and drag it to the position in the list that you want.
Like I said, I personally use widgets as a way of having additional complications that I can access quickly, but maybe not access them as much. For example, on my watch face I have the complication of the current weather conditions. And as one of my widgets, I have the current days forecast.
I also noticed that the heart widget actually shows your current heart rate, where some face complications do not show this.
I am all about being able to access information easily and quickly. So I really like the new watch widgets, and since they can be totally different than your complications, I think they can be very useful. Great job Apple!

Les deux pivots cassés du balancier d'une montre à échappement à cylindre, équipant une pendulette en bronze doré.
Réparation pas cool car très hasardeuse en temps, en réussite, et périlleuse car il ne faut pas briser l'écorce du balancier.
Le principe? Enlever les tampons (comportant les pivots) de chaque côté de l'écorce. L'écorce est un tube creux de 1mm de diamètre. Sortir les tampons avec un outil particulier, tourner le plus long au tour pour reformer un pivot et remplacer le plus court.
Vidéo de la mise en marche forcée (avec le doigt forçant la rotation du rouage) pour voir si la réparation a fonctionné.
Y'a plus qu'à réviser le mouvement et ce sera bon!
(Contrairement aux apparences, je ne suis pas à l'atelier le samedi matin à 8h mais plutôt sous la couette 😁)
Update on my new rabbit hole #fountainpens — I just picked up this nice grey pair of #LIP branded pens (a ball point and a fountain pen, gold-plated Iridium tip Made in Germany) for almost nothing. I got them, because a) I like the colour and b) LIP is a french #watch and clock maker (my other hobby…). Now, does anyone know, are these promotional pens or did LIP at some point also make pens? At least, on eBay and Etsy one can find LIP pens.
Damn #Knot. The prospect of a very nice #watch fully made in Japan with a #Seiko movement and great finish for an alright price is indeed very tempting. I may or may not have bought a watch from them 😂 #JapanTrip
