Hello, Mastodon! May I introduce myself? I'm the Washington State Ski and Snowboard Museum, located east of #Seattle on I-90. My interests include #education, #skiing, #snowboarding, and #history. And, like most Washingtonians, coffee and Sasquatch.
I will be visiting #Japan for a business trip in March. It will be my first time, and I have planned 5-6 vacation days after work, so I am currently looking for outdoor/mountain advice!
I'd love to go hiking, but if everything is snow-covered, I wouldn't mind going snow-boarding instead.
I've finally decided that after 5 years of #snowboarding weekly every winter, I'm finally going to update my setup from the gear I bought off Craigslist in Kentucky when I was 20-ish.
Say hello to my new #Burton Step-On boots and demo bindings, along with my old board. No more making my #ski buddies wait at the lift while I strap in every run!
My own personal favorite view … from our deck at #BlueKnob mountain in central PA. Sending the image out into the universe with a wish for a fabulous snowy ski season this year for good old BK!!!
Check out the Snowboarding Snowman in my RedBubble shop. Perfect for making Christmas cookies, or to stay in the holiday spirit all year long! All-over sublimation print design. 100% polyester. Durable neck band and extra-long black ties that wrap around to tie in front. One size fits most adults. Easy care, machine washable.
Winter dropped in for most of us this weekend in the Northern Hemisphere and the snow lovers like me couldnt be more stoked to welcome it! How much snow did you get? Hoping this next round of storms stays cold for the PNW. Happy Monday everyone! #MountainMonday#snowboarding#powder#snow#freshies#PNW#splitboarding#secretspot
The #redditblackout has moved to a new stage... from a two day blackout to indefinitely shutting down... to people moving away entirely.
Yes, r/startrek has lifted off from #reddit and moved to #lemmy -- and with it, a realization that we need an easy way to help people find their new, old communities that have moved from reddit to #lemmy#kbin and whatever else pops up.
I started a quick and dirty list that you can share and contribute to (PRs welcome!).
I've been here since mid-November 2022, when Twitter went from intolerably bad to ludicrously worse. So I guess I'll be here a while. Ran out of room in the bio, and running out of chars in this post; and I don't want to make a thread -- so here are hashtags I read, and may boost:
I'm excited to launch my new #mastodon instance, https://outdoors.lgbt , a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and staunch allies that love the #outdoors. Registration is open!
I'm a guy in his 40's who lives in New England with his family and dog. I'm a bassist, an amateur photographer, and wood builder. For now. I'm interested in tech, astronomy, books, snowboarding, and trying to find the beauty of the world. ☮️ I believe in equality for ALL.
Hi everyone! I've been here a week now and I'm only sad I didn't join sooner, so it's time for an #introduction.
My name's Cam and I'm originally from Washington, DC. Now living in London. I'm an environmental policy expert by trade, I've worked on everything from land #conservation to #RenewableEnergy.
OC Snowboarding as fast as I can at Big Sky and hoping not to fall [00:59] (youtu.be)
Got out on the snowboard even during this thin snow season and got some laps in at Big Sky, "The Biggest Skiing in America". I tried to send it fast!
