I would like to take this moment to recognize how #calckey / #hajkey is the most powerful of #fediverse applications. So many great features you certainly wouldn't find on #mastodon anytime soon!
@starcross Hi, Serena! I’ve been looking at blahaj.zone and thinking of making an alt there. But for the most part I interact with the Fediverse on my phone, not my desktop. Is there an iOS app for Calckey or do I just make it a web app?
Gargron and his merry bunch of #mastodon centralists are absolutely wrong about this. He's turned into the biggest enabler of birdsite culture because his service has been the biggest benefactor of it. It's kind of sad & boring that some folks only see the #Fediverse in terms of a birdsite alternative.
Can't wait for the BDFL to fully shrug off the pretend #anticapitalist and go all Elno on us. 🙄
@jo I mean...he's effectively saying that people are looking for something identical to Twitter - just not with the branding. Which is why Bluesky exists and thrives. Not like people don't understand that.
Don't know what the "revolutionary take" here is supposed to be other than: "It's good for instances to exist that can turn into the next Twitter." which is...worrisome to say the least.
Insta has become a spam land. Twitter will self combust. LinkedIn is becoming cringier by each day. If not for #mastodon, I would be making real friends.
@Amr1ta LinkedIn has gone bonkers in the last 2 years or so. Used to be a good medium for job ops but now it’s like a street side ad board with self branding posts and spams 🙄

Technisch natürlich nicht besonders tiefgehend, eher für die breite Masse knapp zusammengefasst, aber was wirklich falsches steht doch nicht drin. @jo They still have a fair bit of refinement needed yet. This is an experimental feature as yet and i need to make those radios into proper group buttons.
I'm not even sure this stage 1 release is suitable for public consumption yet. I think that it needs my dynamic timeline feed to be implemented so it doesn't DDoS the server if people pick a filter set with very low hit rate.
Anyhow, eventually it'll be ready for prime time. In the meantime you get to be my lovely lab kittehs to test it for me and give me feedback.

I did find a few that weren't on the main fediblock list. There's so many! But whack-a-mole is too slow... gonna just go ahead and defederate all the fediblock sites.

One of the more noticeable aspects of calckey.social vs Mastodon servers I've tried is people seem to be more responsive and chatty. Is that a side effect of features or community? #calckey#community#mastodon

On the official web page. If I go to a user's profile then the Media tab I see lots of pics. I can click on a pic and see it. But it loads without reference to the original post. Is there no way to see what post the pic is attached to?

@alfredo_liberal It shouldn’t really make a difference, as far as I know? I think you can see and interact with Mastodon posts via Calckey and the other way around.
