Slowly, but surely, I've been playing more and more. Coming out of the other side of depression has its benefits.

As silly as this may sound, I'm grateful to be able to engage in my favorite hobbies again. It was so difficult for so long, but I finally feel like I have some semblance of control in doing these things.

Fuck depression!!

Are You Giving Too Much In Your Relationships?
https://youtu.be/Y9dAfdKPZhI

TiffaneyMooreBorgelin,

In my latest YouTube video about radical self-care, I examine the merits of giving and altruism and the dangers of extreme altruism. Well, when the water flows through the pipe, the pipe gets wet to. So, I’m sharing because researching this topic reminded me that self-care is not a destination, especially for givers. It is definitely an ongoing journey. Stay the course. ❤️

ChatGPT-Powered AI Girlfriend App – Experience the Future of Romance - Personally, I have mixed feelings about this kind of app/development. I spent a number of years during my long and varied career working in and I can see how this kind of app could provide some solace/relief for those who suffer from extreme loneliness or introversion, but, of course, a digital boyfriend or girlfriend is not the same as the real deal. So I’m conflicted. My thinking at this point is that this kind of digital companion will likely do more good than harm. What do you think? Cause we’re going to see a lot more of this in the near future. http://www.inlovewith.com/apps/her/

Psychiatry not fit for purpose. Not new research yet the key findings make a mockery of diagnostic (and hence treatment) approaches. In particular that "almost all diagnoses mask the role of trauma and adverse events" shows a commonality in mental health that is all too often under-estimated.

'Professor Peter Kinderman, University of Liverpool, said: “This study provides yet more evidence that the biomedical diagnostic approach in psychiatry is not fit for purpose.'

The main findings of the research were:

• Psychiatric diagnoses all use different decision-making rules

• There is a huge amount of overlap in symptoms between diagnoses

• Almost all diagnoses mask the role of trauma and adverse events

• Diagnoses tell us little about the individual patient and what treatment they need

PURPLE COURAGE RIBBON

'As a two time cancer survivor I hope that my art can inspire, lift-up and bring awareness to the world of the "hope and strength" available to us all.

Lavender, purple, lilac ..colors that represent strength, endurance, passion and hope. Colors to celebrate survival of all cancers that attempt to devastate our soul from within.

Pear blossom is in full swing, apples about to start! 😍 The advantages of having a slower morning tour.

Mind didn't want to get out at all, legs were still slightly wasted from y'days long run. Still I went 🥳 and it felt good to move the body, get fresh air & start the day out in nature. 😊💚

If the NDP and Libs were really upset about the result of the last Ontario election, they'd be doing some serious work on what in their parties' internal cultures led them to have such lacklustre, unpopular leaders & platform going into it. Is that happening? Maybe in secret?

Indeed "Blaming voters is not a strategy for success."

"lazy voters"

"why couldn't *they just take 5 mins & go vote"

*they - , and more.

Its advantageous for some parties to retain the WAY we actually cast our ballot, but it suppresses voting. In our tech world, the electorate (young & old) is increasing rejecting in-person voting & staying home.

Make voting more convenient= more engagement?

This might be the most important blog post I ever wrote. It's been a while since I wanted to publish some sort of personal manifesto on my site.

After I stopped promoting myself as if I were a brand, I needed to put my foot down and declare what I stand for, on the only place that's not going away: my personal website.

So, here it is. A personal manifesto, where I touch on these topics:

Do you know how it feels to want to help someone you love but being unable to?
I wrote a song about this feeling called Hopes, and my queer friends joined me for a video with fire spinning and knives throwing, emphasising the metaphysical aspect of a universe with endless possibilities. If you'd like, have a listen. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

Has anyone else who uses as their main social media platform noticed a far lower level of personal stress?

After several months I feel almost like I’ve moved to a much, much better neighborhood with really great neighbors.

Personally, I am still concerned with lots of socioeconomic, environmental, and other issues the world faces, but I feel far less stressed about them.

It’s just better in so many ways.
